Si tratta di un foro rettangolare circondato dalle rovine di diversi importanti edifici governativi antichi al centro della città di Roma. I cittadini della città antica si riferivano a questo spazio, originariamente un Marketplace, come Forum Magnum, o semplicemente Forum.
È un altro raro esempio di monumento romano ben conservato. È intatto perché fu trasformato in ingresso della Chiesa dei Santi Cosma e Damiano, ancora oggi funzionante
Era la residenza delle Vestali, situata dietro il Tempio circolare di Vesta al margine orientale del Foro Romano, tra la Regia e il Palatino. La domus publica, dove dimorava il Pontefice Massimo, si trovava nei pressi dell'Atrio fino a quando quel ruolo non fu assunto dagli imperatori.
Le sue rovine si trovano ai piedi del Campidoglio, all'estremità occidentale del Foro Romano. La dedica originale del tempio è tradizionalmente datata al 497 aC, ma gli scrittori antichi erano molto in disaccordo sulla storia di questo sito.
Si tratta di un antico edificio del Foro Romano. Era l'edificio più grande del Foro, e l'ultima basilica romana costruita in città.
Era una struttura che un tempo sorgeva nel Foro Romano. Si trattava di un grande edificio pubblico decorato, utilizzato per riunioni e altri affari ufficiali durante l'Impero Romano.
È una delle parti più antiche della città ed è stata definita "il primo nucleo dell'Impero Romano". Il sito è ora principalmente un grande museo a cielo aperto mentre il Museo Palatino ospita molti reperti provenienti dagli scavi qui e da altri antichi siti Italiani.
È una piazza nel centro di Roma tra Via dei Fori Imperiali e Via Claudia. Si trova al confine tra i rione Monti, Campitelli e Celio. La piazza è raggiungibile dalla Stazione della Metropolitana Colosseo sulla linea B della Metropolitana di Roma.
Costruita nel 315 d.C. e caratterizzata dai suoi tripli archi, questa struttura commemora la vittoria di Costantino su Maxentuis.
Forse il meglio conservato dei monumenti dell'antica Roma, questa enorme struttura marmorea fu costruita per contenere più di 50.000 spettatori per assistere a sanguinose gare di forza e all'eccidio di bestie feroci.

On what may have been the hottest day of the summer to date, Rocco was able to guide us safely through the entire tour of the Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum. He knew his audience and was witty and kind as he dropped jokes that had us all chuckling. Two of our group members were having challenges with the heat so he found them a place to sit in the shade while the rest of the group went up the hill. We reconnected with them and were able to continue on to the Colosseum. There is so much to see at this historic site and having a guide helped us focus our attentions rather than get overwhelmed by the magnitude of things to see! We saw details that we otherwise would have missed and learned so much about the various sites. We would highly recommend to anyone!

We booked this tour and late the night before the tour we received a message to say that the tour guide had a medical emergency and would not be able to run the tour. The next morning they sent entry tickets that would give us independent access into the colosseum. When we went though security after a long wait in the queue, they said that the tickets had been already used by someone else entering that morning. Apparently third party operators are doing this all the time. We were refused entry and totally missed out on the Colosseum. :( Fortunately Viator did refund our money.
We had an incredibly knowledgeable tour guide that highlighted many areas of the tour. Our only disappointment was the crowds this time of year in July and the fact our 9:15 am time was changed last minute to 2 pm. In the heat of summer we booked early for a reason but no compensation was offered for the inconvenience.
We were late and Donatella provided great information enabling us to meet her inside the very busy Roman Forum and join the tour from there. The tour itself was fantastic!

We started our day with a small group tour of the Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colleseo. Our exceptional, knowledgeable and humorous guide Paolo (sp?) really made the experience for us. Do yourself a favor and take this tour and ask for Paolo!
