Our small group tour guide, Paolo, was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and the pacing was just right. An added fun bonus was his culinary botanical pop quizzes. He actively helped us manage the summer weather by seeking out shade for us to stand under and a couple cold drinking fountain stops. I highly recommend this tour.

I had the most wonderful time with my family and learnt so much during the 3 hour tour. Our guide Donnatella Mauceri was so knowledgeable and made a concerted effort to make the tour special. It has always been one of my dreams to go to see the Colosseum and she really made it incredibly memorable. A true dream come true, made better with a great guide.
Marta was great on a very hot day, told it was 40C. tour was informative allowing for photographs and Marta was kind enough to take family pics on several occasions. Being a hot day she included stops at water fountains to top up bottles. I can recommend this small group tour - no standing in line for tickets, quick entrance through various points including bag searches.
Donatella was an excellent guide. So knowledgeable and had many extra facts and information which made the tour even more enjoyable. Very patient and considerate guide Thank you .
Please put your legal name because I put my nickname on the ticket and they would not let me participate on the tour even though I paid for it and I had the tickets. No refund!

Donatella was fantastic! She was informative and considerate. It was intensely hot (95 F) and she consistently found little bits of shade and cool water stops for us to stay hydrated, all while sharing bits of knowledge and giving us context to imagine the splendor, architecture, and everyday life of Romans in centuries past. It seemed that every other tour group we passed was huge. Ours was just 6 people - truly semi private - which gave us freedom to ask lots of questions and take some great pictures. Donatella’s deep knowledge and obvious passion for Rome were apparent throughout. And it was a huge advantage for her to navigate our way through the insane crowds trying to get into the coliseum - we definitely made it through the lines and security much faster than people without tour guides!
