Ti fermi brevemente di fronte a un'opera d'arte chiamata "Mur des je t'aime" che significa letteralmente Muro di I Love Yous ma è generalmente chiamato Wall of Love in inglese ed è stato creato nel 2000 da Frederic Baron e Claire Kito. Le tessere rappresentano 311 modi per dire "Ti amo" in 250 lingue.
Ci sono documenti scritti di questa chiesa risalenti all'anno 885 che rende questo uno dei più antichi siti cristiani di Parigi.
Visita il laboratorio in cui Picasso visse tra il 1904 e il 1909, dove visse e lavorò anche Modigliani. Così hanno fatto Renoir, Juan Gris, Max Jacob, Le Douanier Rousseau e molti altri che non sono così famosi oggi.

Questo bellissimo mulino a vento è uno dei soli 2 rimasti a Montmartre ed è specializzato nella macinazione del grano. È stato anche un ristorante per molto tempo. Artisti famosi come Renoir, Van Gogh e Pissaro frequentarono questo ristorante e lo dipinsero, trasformandolo in un'icona di Montmartre. Il Bal au Moulin de la Galette di Renoir non mostra il mulino a vento, ma solo la festa che si svolge dietro questa famosa facciata. Van Gogh dipinse diverse versioni di questo mulino a vento perché suo fratello Theo viveva nelle vicinanze e conosceva bene la zona.

La seconda casa rosa dove dice "Maison Rose" è stata resa famosa da un pittore locale di nome Utrillo, rendendola una delle scene più iconiche di Montmartre. Inizialmente fu chiamato "Rendez-vous of Thieves", poi "Cabaret of the Assassins" prima che il caricaturista André Gill fu incaricato di creare un nuovo look per il luogo nel 1880 e si avvicinò con il disegno del coniglio.

Fabulous tour of Montmartre! Annie’s tour will take you to the well known spots and the hidden gems. It was such a great way to explore the neighborhood for the first time. The stories and historical context were both informative and entertaining. If we hadn't done this tour, we would have missed out on a lot of interesting history. You will love listening to Annie, her voice is a pleasure to listen to. My husband and I shared a pair of earbuds and listened through my iPhone. Very easy to follow along, and you can pause the audio whenever you need to. Directions are easy to follow. I cannot recommend this tour enough!! We loved it.
We had an amazing experience with Annie’s v }>:L oice-guided tour of Montmartre in Paris. The narration was engaging, easy to follow, and brought the neighborhood’s history and hidden gems to life in a way we would have completely missed on our own. It felt like having a knowledgeable local guide with us the entire time. This is a terrific way to see Montmartre and have the pleasure of Annie in our ear guiding us through those amazing sites. She is very clear in her directions, informative, knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to. The start point was easy to locate and each point of interest flowed from site to site. We set the pace, were able to rewind or stop the audio feed if necessary and the built in gps kept us on track. Sharing a set of earbuds, my husband and I were able to listen to the commentary together. It felt like a private tour. Thank you Annie. Your audio guide, Montmartre is 5/5 and highly recommended.
Montmartre! Such a fun place to wander in Paris. But in just wandering you would miss so much, so I am so glad that I had this tour. Voicemap tours are such a great way to learn more about what you are seeing without breaking the bank for a personal tour. You have flexibility in stopping and starting and I listened to them before going to have a little preview. I love the Join Us in France podcast, facebook group and Annie is a wealth of knowledge. I just bought one of her new ones for my next trip.
Annie’s tours are well crafted, informative and easy to follow. Her instructions are precise and the content is enjoyable to listen to. It’s apparent she puts a lot of thought into her presentation. Voice maps makes it easy to start, stop or wander and then get back on track. Make sure your devices are charged or bring a battery pack.
I Enjoyed listening to the tour before going to get a better feel and the when onsite everything went smoothly definitely worth the cost.

I really enjoyed this audio guide tour because it felt like I had someone with me, guiding me along the way. I never felt alone and I never felt lost or unsure about where to go. All the descriptions were beautiful and the way the lady added humor made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
So easy! The best way to tour an area. At your own pace. You can even speed up the recording to make it go quicker. Easy to use… recognizes your location. Commentator was pleasant to listen to.
While quite a lot of walking in a hilly neighborhood, the tour shows you all of the sights and provides background information that really adds to the experience. If you walk slowly and stop frequently to enjoy the experience (such as street music or a drink at a cafe) this tour will take at least 4 hours. Well worth the time and effort.
