Il nostro tour inizia qui. Ascolterai la storia della stiva e dei suoi fantasmi. Costruito originariamente nel 1716, questo è il più antico edificio in legno sopravvissuto a Sant'Agostino e ha visto la sua giusta parte di storia. Le sue mura sono state nei secoli la caserma dei soldati britannici, una scuola per i giovani e la casa di Juan Genopoly, capo dei minorchi. E i loro fantasmi hanno deciso di restare. Non entriamo dentro, è solo fuori che raccontiamo la nostra storia.
Le antiche porte della città di S. Agostino furono costruite nel 1808 in sostituzione della struttura in legno deteriorata. In piedi su 3 piani sono una popolare attrazione turistica. Nel corso dei secoli le antiche porte hanno tenuto gli abitanti della città al sicuro dalle invasioni. E la leggenda locale narra che siano perseguitati dall'anima della bambina di 10 anni Elizabeth.
Nel 1821, quando la febbre gialla colpì Sant'Agostino, uccise oltre 400 dei suoi residenti. All'epoca era più di un terzo della sua popolazione. In fretta e furia il governo locale seppellì i cadaveri in decomposizione degli ugonotti in una fossa comune. Ascolterai la storia del cimitero infestato e degli spiriti che ora si nascondono nel suo terreno.
Il Potter's Wax Museum è stato il primo museo delle cere in America fondato nel 1948 e ospita oltre 160 sculture di cera raccapriccianti. Molti dei personaggi sono passati da tempo. L'edificio in legno in cui è ospitato è stato costruito nel 1739 e trasferito in questa posizione nel 1887. Prima che fosse un museo delle cere era una farmacia e si dice che sia la farmacia più antica degli Stati Uniti. Ed è infestato!
Il cimitero di Tolomato è il cimitero più antico della Florida, risalente al 1700 e oggi è l'ultima dimora di vescovi, schiavi, omicidi e oltre 1000 corpi rinchiusi nel suo suolo. Ascolterai la storia del ragazzo che infesta i suoi terreni e vedrai la sua lapide. Da notare, non andiamo al cimitero, siamo solo al cancello.
Nel 1700 questo luogo ospitava il deposito spagnolo di polvere da sparo e munizioni. Nel corso degli anni l'edificio è stato una pensione, un negozio di alimentari e, più recentemente, un grazioso bed and breakfast, infestato dal più dolce dei fantasmi. Oggi è infestato dal più dolce degli spiriti. Stanno morendo dalla voglia di conoscerti!
Nel 1870 questo edificio fu costruito da un certo Mr. George Colee per Marion, la sua fidanzata con cui pensava di vivere per l'eternità. Imparerai a conoscere il signor Colee e dove ora si aggira.

Information was very limited as what you get with an actual tour guide group. While taking this tour we would run into the tour guided group and their information was more detailed and informative
Hi! Thanks for using the WalknTours app! The tour is about one hour, and provides stories at spots and as you walk. You can go at your own pace, anytime, on your terms, unliked guided tours making it popular for solo travelers, families and those that don't like the restrictions of group tours. If you are looking for that standard guided tour stop of 10 to 15 minute stops with long stories, you won't get that here :). These are meant to be fun, informative and well paced by design. The whole tour is about an hour plus if you do not stop and you'll see many sites in town that many people miss. My family and I did this while put for a belated birthday celebration. We loved being able to go at our own pace, and being able to have a guided walk through some streets that we, somehow, hadn't been despite having gone to St. Augustine multiple times. There was a bit of confusion while we were walking around, though we quickly figured it out. When referencing the Carriage House inn, there are 2 buildings. The first one was on the right, but as we continued down, we realized the stories were a reference to the second Carriage house a bit further down the street and was on the left. Second, the Prince of Wales pub has been permanently closed, and is now ReChic Treasures. Despite those two bits of confusion, my parents and I throughly enjoyed the tour. Also, if doing this at night for a "proper" ghost tour, the Scarlett O'Hara is LOUD. My Mom had difficulty hearing the audio, so we had to go back through that audio after getting the photos we wanted and walking away.

Really fun activity to do! By yourself or with friends! Travel on your on speed is one of my favorites about this! The app was pretty easy to use! Only reason I rated it 4 starts and not 5 because I wish some of the stories were a little longer. But overall I recommend for anyone needing something to do on your own time!
We learned a lot of history of St. Augustine as well as some good ghost tales. The walk is nice and you can go at your own pace.

The tour was fun, Nice to do at your own pace. The only issue was the fact that you get lost and turned around Way too easily. With that being said once you come across another area you wernt looking for the tour changes and starts talking about that location instead of the one you were headed to. So things got a tad confusing, but overall it was a nice tour just gotta pay attention better to certain streets really closely!
Great self-guided tour. After our guided ghost was canceled on us, we were bummed. Then we found this tour and enjoyed doing it at our own pace. So glad are original tour got canceled
I like how he the tour guide felt like he was really with us walking around. I also liked how he said to look up and see a ghost in the window and it was a mannequin. I like the story about the boy named James
