Itinerario
Isola di Lokrum, visiteremo la più grande delle grotte di Dubrovnik, chiamata la grotta del Pidgeon. Appartato, sul lato esterno dell'isola, il suo ingresso è circondato da rocce ripide e vegetazione mediterranea che sporge dalle rocce. Potete immaginare la sua genesi, come le onde enormi e forti che colpiscono le rocce per migliaia di anni abbiano modellato questa meraviglia naturale.
Fort Lovrjenac, spesso chiamato "La Gibilterra di Dubrovnik", è una fortezza e un teatro fuori dalle mura occidentali della città di Dubrovnik in Croazia, a 37 metri (121 piedi) sopra il livello del mare.[1] Famoso per i suoi drammi e per l'importanza nella resistenza al dominio veneziano, mette in ombra i due ingressi alla città, dal mare e da terra. All'inizio dell'XI secolo i veneziani tentarono di costruire un forte nello stesso punto in cui attualmente si trova il forte Lovrijenac. Se ci fossero riusciti, avrebbero mantenuto Dubrovnik sotto il loro potere, ma gli abitanti della città li hanno preceduti. Le "Cronache di Ragusa" rivelano come il forte fu costruito in soli tre mesi e da allora costantemente ricostruito. Quando arrivarono le navi veneziane, cariche di materiali per la costruzione del forte, fu detto loro di tornare a Venezia.
Le mura di Dubrovnik sono una serie di mura difensive in pietra che circondano la città di Dubrovnik. I bastioni furono costruiti nelle zone periferiche della città, compresi i pendii delle montagne come parte di una serie di statue del 1272. Le mura della città esistenti furono costruite principalmente durante i secoli XIII-XVII. Le mura percorrono un percorso ininterrotto di circa 1.940 metri (6.360 piedi) di lunghezza, circondando gran parte della città vecchia e raggiungono un'altezza massima di circa 25 metri (82 piedi).
La Villa Sheherezade è situata in una posizione esclusiva nel cuore di Dubrovnik. Costruita originariamente nel 1929 dal ricco ebreo russo Vilim Zimdin, in onore della sua misteriosa amante di nome Sheherezade, da cui la villa continua a prendere il nome.
Già nel XIV secolo, in seguito all’aumento delle epidemie di malattie contagiose, il governo di Dubrovnik decise di costruire le prime quarantene per isolare i viaggiatori e esaminare le merci destinate alla distribuzione, e nel 1590 iniziò la costruzione del Lazareti a Ploče, che durò fino al 1642.

Beautiful views of the wall and island. Boat is well maintained and the young Captain was wonderful and very informative. If you are prone to sea sickness this adventure is not for you, the seas are choppy. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time on this sunset boat trip with Jakov/Jacob. It was such a lovely chilled experience with a friendly skipper who was very knowledgeable and took great care when the sea was choppy. We particularly enjoyed the music and the drinks were good too. Our skipper Mario was lovely. Prompt and professional. Hubby and I had the pleasure of a private sunset experience. Drinks were offered and we connected to the Bluetooth speaker and played some time tracks for 1.5hrs. Mari warned me that the waters were abit choppy due to the windy. I got sea sick towards the end of the cruise. The waters were wilder than I expected but a great experience none the less.
