In stronger winds, it is difficult to see dolphins or whales, especially when you cannot go out very far and because you cannot easily spot the fins and spouts, so the trip should not take place at all or you should at least be informed about it. The trip took place anyway. So just an ordinary boat trip on an aging catamaran.
Being able to encounter dolphins in a respectful manner was magical! Thank you for this wonderful moment, the warm welcome, and the explanations about whales and dolphins. We were lucky to see a pod of dolphins, and we equally enjoyed the pleasure of sailing on a catamaran (which was a first for us).
A beautiful and relaxing excursion with a great tour guide. Unfortunately, we did not see any dolphins or whales, but we still enjoyed it very much. We would book it again at any time.
Superb boat ride respectful of animals, with the bonus of seeing dolphins and a whale!
Would have enjoyed the trip, even without seeing the wildlife. We were very lucky and saw dolphins, a whale and even a shark. Loads of space on the catamaran gave everyone plenty of space, not cramped at all, unlike the other boats we saw. Didn't need a jacket, but easy storage for backpack with jacket was very useful. Our hosts were excellent, thank you 😊
Unbelievable, myself and my fiance (Leon and Abbey) decided to book an excursion on our final night with WeWhale. From the start Gonzalo and his team couldn’t have been more clear/helpful regarding the activity with meet times and locations. When arriving at the boat they were extremely welcoming, gave us a great briefing of the trip and explained that ours and the animal welfare is priority, and they can’t guarantee any sightings - this set our expectations and made us feel at ease straight away. As we left the port he made us feel involved by showing us what signs to look for when spotting dolphins/whales and also sharing his personal binoculars with us and other participants, rather than it being a boring sail around a body of water, this made us feel part of the team. We were fortunate enough on our trip to see the dolphins, with our encounter he was incredibly respectful towards the group of dolphins and seeing his and his crews passion for the mammals emphasised we’d booked with the right team. He spent plenty of time educating us on the marine life and his past experiences (showing photos/videos/research)… I could spend hours talking about our experience and how amazing it was, but I think it would be best for you to experience this yourself at a bargain of a price. Thank you again Gonzalo and the team, we admire your dedication and passion. This truly topped of our holiday.
Amazing experience, seeing Dolphins in the Atlantic, Gonzalaz and Sylvia were very informative and brilliant hosts. I recommend no alcohol on this trip,as seriously it is not needed.
Lovely trip - even though we saw no whales and dolphins. A little disappointing but the views, experience, and the lovely crew still made it a great tour. Thank you
Very disappointed. Cruise of 1h30 including 30 minutes stop for swimming. No marine animals were seen at all, and instead of continuing to look for them, the captain planted the boat in the middle of nowhere and waited for the regulation 30 minutes when no one wanted to go into the water (too cold). Back to port, landing. 105 euros thrown out the window.
Found Wewhale website before we arrived, and because of mobility issues asked them if they could accommodate a wheelchair, they replied that it would not be a problem, they were true to their word, they assisted us on board and made space so that my wife was sat in her wheelchair safely. I also chose Wewhale because of their commitment to the environment, they only take small parties out (maximum of 12) and theirs is an electric powered Catamaran. The crew Gonzalo and Silvia were so passionate about their work and they took time out to make sure everyone on board was comfortable and explained about what they want to achieve, what kind of whales and dolphins visit the area. Highlight of the day having a Pod of Dolphins swim along side of the Catamaran
