Esploreremo la storia del popolo ebraico in Argentina, dai suoi tempi coloniali alla modernità. Mentre navighiamo nella storia di oltre 200.000 collettivi, esploreremo i quartieri di Once, Tribunales e Retiro. Andremo oltre la tradizione religiosa mentre esploriamo come la politica e la vasta storia dell'Argentina hanno plasmato e reso la sua popolazione ebraica ciò che è oggi. Durante il nostro tour ricco di azione, vedremo AMIA, conosciuta come "l'istituzione madre" della vita ebraica in Argentina, che è stata presa di mira da un attacco terroristico negli anni '90, e visiteremo il Museo Ebraico e la Sinagoga di Libertad. Esploreremo Once, un quartiere ebraico e un distretto commerciale alla rinfusa, passeggiando per sinagoghe, negozi di articoli per feste di quinceañera e venditori di tessuti. Andremo in quello che chiamiamo "Diversity Corner": un luogo in cui solo stando in piedi 5 minuti, sarai testimone di tutta la diversità che BA può mostrare. Ricordati di portare il tuo passaporto originale e scarpe comode perché cammineremo per oltre 4 chilometri!

Incontraci alle porte di Once, il quartiere ebraico più importante dell'Argentina. Qui parleremo delle origini coloniali degli ebrei argentini e vedremo alcuni spettacolari murales in onore dei medici e dei primi soccorritori che si sono presi cura delle vittime dell'attacco terroristico che ha colpito la più importante istituzione ebraica della zona.
La più importante istituzione ebraica che è stata presa di mira da un attacco terroristico negli anni '90 solo per essere ricostruita più forte che mai. Discuteremo di questo triste episodio e daremo un'occhiata alla splendida opera commemorativa
Esplora il quartiere ebraico più importante del Sud America, con i suoi distretti commerciali di sfusi e indumenti, negozi di quinceañera, ristoranti kosher, sinagoghe e shul. Vedremo "l'angolo della diversità", entreremo nell'area ortodossa e vedremo persino negozi di telefoni kosher!
Visiteremo il Museo ebraico dove discuteremo della grande immigrazione della fine del 1800

Guide was nice but didn't feel she delved into history of Jews as much as I would've like. But did provide other general background info on Argentina, not specific to Jewish settlement and life

We did get informed abt bringing a passport via text, or regular email so missed part of the experience.:( Leader was not well organized and did not seem professional. Seemed sweet but not a great resource. We have taken a Jewish tours elsewhere and leaders seemed more mature and informed.
The guide for this tour was Melanie, who has consistently earned over 30 5 star reviews in the last year for her outstanding tours. Unfortunately, this guest did not bring their passport (after we messaged them about it two different times), left the tour early, and then proceeded to request a refund on the grounds of the guides' shirt having creases (!). After we denied the request for a refund, this guest left a 2 star review - the lowest this tour has ever gotten, on any platform. Please make of this what you will - we stand by our team in this case.
Excellent tour. Our guide was terrific - personable and knowledgeable. Lots of walking. Great history.
Be prepared to walk 4 miles. It is an interesting and historical tour. We really liked it. Cande was our tour guide and was able to tell us her family history in Argentina as well.

The tour guide Candela was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was very interesting and illuminating as to the rich Jewish history in Buenos Aires, both the good and the sad. Be prepared to be on your feet for a few hours. Highly recommend this tour.

A good bit of walking and standing and lots of stairs in some places. Guide was passionate, enthusiastic and very well informed! We learned so much!
