Questi "amministratori della gestione dell'acqua" ancora persistenti e in servizio vi racconteranno la storia del gatto che ha salvato una giovane vita umana.

La principale stazione ferroviaria della città di Rotterdam riceve una media di 170.000 passeggeri al giorno. Uno dei più grandi punti salienti architettonici della città.
L'edificio del XVII secolo ex sede di Waterschap Schieland, istituzione responsabile della politica e della gestione dell'acqua in questa parte dell'Olanda Meridionale, un tempo dimora temporanea di Napoleone Bonaparte
Edificio in stile tardo gotico del 1525 e allo stesso tempo l'edificio più antico della città di Rotterdam. Uno dei tanti rari edifici sopravvissuti ai bombardamenti nazisti del 15 maggio 1940.
Monumento dedicato a Desiderio Erasmo Roterodamus alias Erasmo da Rotterdam, uno dei più grandi filosofi, teologi, studiosi, sacerdote del XVI secolo. Molti edifici pubblici, strutture e istituzioni educative prendono il nome da questo famoso Rotterdammer.
Edificio moderno situato in una delle più grandi piazze di Rotterdam a forma di ferro di cavallo - mercato chiuso combinato con spazi abitativi e strutture, soprannominato anche "La Cappella Sistina di Rotterdam"
Atipiche costruzioni ad albero con appartamenti a forma di cubo sulla sommità delle colonne portanti. Per la sua forma solo i 3/4 dello spazio interno è idoneo e fruibile per la vita comune
Uno dei porti più antichi (ma non il più antico!) della Rotterdam medievale, ex foce del fiume Rotte fino al fiume New Mosa. Al giorno d'oggi il luogo di ritrovo preferito dai cittadini di Rotterdam con numerosi bar, ristoranti, taverne, discoteche...
Una volta che l'edificio più alto e il primo grattacielo in Europa fu eretto nel 1898. Simile a molti edifici di Amsterdam, anche questo edificio è impostato su 1000 pilastri di legno.
Chiamato anche "The Red Bridge" dedicato a Willem III è uno dei tre ponti di Rotterdam che collegano la parte centrale e settentrionale della città con i quartieri meridionali.
Un'enorme costruzione in acciaio che significa "The Lift" un tempo fungeva da ponte ferroviario "rotante" e "sollevabile" sul fiume New Mosa. Il ponte era in servizio prima che il tunnel ferroviario fosse attraversato sotto il fiume
Il monumento ai caduti situato sull'argine destro del fiume New Meuse. Commemora le 3500 persone a bordo delle navi mercantili olandesi che persero la vita nella seconda guerra mondiale.
Leuvehaven - è un museo marittimo all'aperto. La grande collezione di piroscafi, macchine e attrezzature per l'attracco del carico, motori navali e altri oggetti legati o connessi alla marina e alla navigazione dalla metà dell'Ottocento agli anni '70 del secolo scorso.
Questo ponte sospeso è il ponte più giovane di Rotterdam che attraversa la Nuova Mosa... e sicuramente il ponte più popolare e conosciuto. Uno dei più grandi simboli e immagini di questa città chiamato anche "Il Cigno" o "L'Arpa", alto 139 m con la "parte di apertura" del ponte più grande e pesante d'Europa, lunga 80 m.
Area pittoresca con 19 mulini a vento polder unici e autentici della prima metà del 18° secolo a 25 km da Rotterdam. Il miglior esempio di gestione idrica olandese efficiente e ben organizzata attraverso i secoli

Alex is the best guide we’ve ever had & we’ve had many. He kept us informed before we met in Rotterdam. He is so knowledgeable and obviously proud of his city. It seemed every local knew him!! He took us to Kinderdijk and gave us a tour of Rotterdam, and even included the delicious patatje oorlog (loaded French fries)! Do not hesitate to book with Alex! You will not be disappointed!!

We really enjoyed this tour. Alex did a great job of pointing out all of the sites. He was very knowledgeable about Rotterdam, Kinderdijk and the history of these locations. Both places are very walkable (this tour would not be a good option if you have mobility concerns). We would highly recommend this tour!!

My husband and I spent the day with Alex touring Kinderdijk and Rotterdam. We met Alex at the Brussels train station. He recommended going to see the windmills of Kinderdijk first which was great. Alex spoke a lot about the history of Rotterdam and the windmills during our boat ride to Kinderdijk. He is very knowledgeable and enjoyed all of his discussions. He was very attentive to us and we moved at an easy pace. We really enjoyed the Kinderdijk area and moved on to Rotterdam. We enjoyed local beer and frites just as the locals. It was a full day and Alex kept us interested and we were very happy to spend the day with him! I would highly recommend Alex and his tour!

Just do it! My family and I (my husband and 3 kids) , we spent great ( fortunately sunny !!!) day with Alex two days ago. We are in modern architecture (Rotterdam is right place or it) and we came from Brussels by train ( very good and nice train connection). Kids were marveled by windmills and animals they saw in this area.. :) I have no other words, simply, Alex was great! Big knowledge about history of Netherlands (and Lowlands at all) in particular Rotterdam, he provided us plenty of information about meaning of polders, windmills, water management in Netherlands.. We were invited to taste local snack " potatoes war" ... :) We got even much more information about Belgium ( and we regret because we didn't contact and hire this guy even earlier (he organize tours in Belgium and Luxembourg as well). Transportation by water taxi from Rotterdam to Kinderdijk and back was also insured ( included in tour price) by this guy so we had less concerns about it. What an incredible day my husband and I had with our guide Aleks. He was so full of information and we could see the joy he had in sharing it with us and showing us his city. We took a boat ride to see the windmills in Kinderjik and spent the rest of the day touring Rotterdam. We stopped for lunch and took time to get to know each other. I highly recommend his tour.
