Descrizione
Per 3 ore vagheremo nei principali quartieri di Tirana parlando della sua storia dai romani, agli ottomani, al tempo del comunismo e al presente. Cammineremo sulla piazza principale parlando della fondazione di Tirana e degli edifici che la circondano. Poi passeremo nella zona di Toptani, nell'antico castello del re Zog e nella residenza del principe. Continuerà sul Main Boulevard e passerà accanto alla Piramide, al Primo Ministero, agli uffici del Parlamento, alla Presidenza, all'Università, ecc. Il nostro tour si concluderà con una visita all'ex Blloku, che un tempo era il quartiere di residenza dei leader comunisti chiuso al pubblico occhio, la casa di Hoxha è ancora lì e la possiamo vedere da fuori. Visiteremo la Moschea Et'hem Bey, l'edificio più antico di Tirana e uno dei suoi simboli, spiegheremo la sua storia e osserveremo le sue bellissime decorazioni. Nelle vicinanze si trova la Torre dell'Orologio, altro simbolo dell'antica Tirana e un tempo l'edificio più alto. Spiegheremo quindi l'altro edificio storico come la Banca Nazionale d'Albania, il Museo Nazionale, l'Hotel Tirana, il Palazzo della Cultura, il Comune di Tirana, ecc.
Passeremo davanti al Museo Bunk Art 2 sulle atrocità comuniste, al Castello di Toptani e alla Residenza del principe Zogu, passeremo davanti alla Casa del Parlamento e alla nuova Moschea, la più grande dei Balcani, ancora in costruzione.
Faremo una lunga passeggiata sul viale principale di Tirana e passeremo accanto alla Piramide, al Museo del dittatore Hoxha dopo la sua morte, al Primo Ministero, alla Presidenza, agli uffici del Parlamento, all'Università, all'Accademia delle Arti, allo Stadio Nazionale e molto altro ancora.
Ex-Blloku era l'area di residenza dei leader comunisti, che era completamente chiusa ai normali cittadini per entrarvi. Passeremo davanti alla casa di Hoxha durante tutto il tempo in cui ha governato l'Albania comunista. Ascolterai e sentirai ciò che questa zona ha significato per noi durante il periodo comunista ed è diventata oggi il luogo più vivace e impressionante in cui trovarsi a Tirana.

You learn lots about the history of Albania. Our very enthusiastic guide, Eni, was excellent and even went beyond the allotted time to answer lots of questions and ensure we got a lot from the tour. We asked to stop briefly for a coffee and this wasn’t any problem for her (we did invite her for a drink too as the least we could do - there were only two of us on this tour today). We ended feeling a lot more knowledgeable.
Our guide gave us an entire education and we just loved her!❤️we learned a lot and had a great time! I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Tirana. It is the perfect first tour to start the trip through Albania.
Eni was the best tour guide we could have imagined. She gave us so much insider and historical knowledge and completely captivated us with her stories from the time of the dictatorship, which she lived through. We now see Albania in a completely different way and were touched by her reports of her experiences. Of course, she also had information about shopping :) so we were able to put these tips into practice :) A city tour of Tirana is highly recommended, the 3 hours fly by.

Aldo speaks not only with wide historical knowledge but also with passion. This is what makes a tour special and this Tirana Walking tour is outstanding. We started right on time. Aldo quickly assessed our general knowledge about Albania and based on that he connected the missing dots. The he took us on a slow walk with nice stops (we even had a short coffee time) through the social history of Tirana, mixing old and new Tirana with loads of travel tips and advices you won't find anywhere else.
