Ivuka Arts Center è un centro artistico e galleria d'arte situato a Kigali, la capitale del Ruanda.
Il sito nella capitale del Ruanda, Kigali, dove dieci caschi blu belgi delle Nazioni Unite sono stati assassinati dagli estremisti hutu per provocare un ritiro delle forze delle Nazioni Unite, che ha poi spianato la strada allo svolgersi dell'intera portata del genocidio ruandese.
Il Nyamirambo Women's Centre (NWC), una ONG ruandese, è stato lanciato alla fine del 2007 da 18 donne ruandesi che vivevano a Nyamirambo, Kigali. Insieme hanno creato un progetto che mirava ad affrontare la violenza di genere, la disuguaglianza di genere e la discriminazione. Oggi, la missione di NWC è fornire istruzione e formazione professionale alle donne che non hanno i mezzi per pagare da sole tale formazione, in modo che possano ottenere migliori opportunità di lavoro.

Il mercato della città di Kigali è un ottimo posto per meravigliarsi. Ehi, in una certa misura i livelli superiori sono molto simili a un centro commerciale con il piano terra con venditori di vari tipi tra cui cibo e articoli per la casa. I commercianti sono coinvolgenti e non infastidiscono eccessivamente i visitatori, scattare foto è facile e qui c'è una vasta gamma da vedere. Alcuni posti dove mangiare e bere anche. Questo non è un luogo turistico quindi niente curiosità e così via, ma frutta, tè, caffè, miele e così via in vendita se è quello che stai cercando. I prezzi erano molto ragionevoli e non c'era molto spazio per le trattative ma anche meno pressioni per l'acquisto. Un ottimo posto da esplorare: non c'è davvero bisogno di una guida o di un "locale" che ti accompagni perché è sicuro, ben illuminato e ha una grande sicurezza.

Our guide, Gloria was very knowledgeable. She did a great job telling us all about the city, we visited a woman’s center and got to stop and meet some of the women working. She had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us laughing all the way. Kigsli is a fascinating city.
