A questo punto di incontro, faremo un passo indietro nel tempo per esplorare la libreria originale di Sylvia Beach e la visione di George Whitman di un'"utopia socialista". Scoprirete la storia dei 'Tumbleweeds' - viaggiatori avventurosi che sono invitati a rimanere nel negozio in cambio di leggere un libro al giorno e aiutare con le attività quotidiane.
Attraversamento per Notre-Dame via Rue de la Cité. Ci concentreremo sulla “resurrezione” di Notre-Dame, ricordando brevemente l’incendio del 2019 e i notevoli sforzi di restauro che hanno portato alla sua riapertura.
passare per Point Zero – il centro geografico di Parigi
Ritorno sulla riva sinistra via Pont au Double. Il nome del ponte deriva dal XVII secolo, quando fu riscosso un pedaggio “double denier” per aiutare a finanziare il vicino ospedale, l’Hôtel-Dieu. Questo sarà coperto mentre si cammina, senza fermarsi.
Una delle chiese più antiche di Parigi, risalente al XII secolo. Nella piazza adiacente, metteremo in evidenza l'albero Robinia piantato nel 1601 — l'albero più antico della città — e godremo di una delle viste più belle di Notre-Dame.
Mentre il museo non sarà visitabile durante il tour, la sua facciata è suggestiva e un esempio unico di architettura gotica. Un'affascinante miscela di storia romana e medievale, costruita sulle terme romane del I secolo. Citiamo anche La Signora e gli arazzi Unicorno, spesso indicati come la “Monna Lisa” del Medioevo.
Il Panthéon (via Rue SaintJacques). Originariamente costruito come chiesa dedicata a Sainte Geneviève, il Panthéon si è evoluto in un monumento secolare in onore dei "Grandi Uomini" di Francia. Citeremo il Pendolo di Foucault, che ha dimostrato la rotazione della Terra.
Jardin du Luxembourg (Fontana Medicea e Palazzo) Creata nel 1612 da Marie de’ Medici, che desiderava la natia Firenze. La Fontana Medicea è un capolavoro romantico, raffigurante il gigante Polifemo.
Concedetevi una sosta leggendaria al Georges Larnicol. Ci fermeremo qui per scoprire il dolcetto.
Le Procope (Luogo di ritiro) Concluderemo a Le Procope, passando per uno dei passaggi storici più belli di Parigi.

Excellent tour with wonderful guide
Camila was amazing! She took us on an unintentionally private walking tour of Paris and she did a great job. We really enjoyed her spirit and knowledge of the area. Would absolutely do another tour with her. Paris is really chock full of beauty and history.
It was a super fun experience to see the parts of Paris we could have missed otherwise. Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens etc were all super fun to visit and we also learned about the history.

Cecilia gave a wonderful tour. Every block or two she brought to life stories about places famous for centuries and places famous due to modern TV shows. Although there was a fair amount of walking, she made sure that the tour was doable for all of us on a hot, muggy evening.
We were shown around the Latin Quarter and enjoyed the histories of the parks and buildings along the way. We got rained on but it didn't matter. We ended at a local confectionary and had a sweet! Fun and informative. Met other travelers that we then bumped into the following day at the Louvre! How fun.
The tour was a great overview of one of Paris's more bohemian areas. I thoroughly enjoyed the the late evening stroll as I was able to see Paris around sunset. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend the tour.

Throughout the tour, he generously offered numerous recommendations for restaurants, shops, and attractions, ensuring that we would continue to enjoy the richness of the Latin district even after the tour concluded.
