The map in the app didn’t work at all. The button wouldn’t click. When we answered questions to get to the next task, the same thing happened. There was no way to find items without having some sense of where to go. Very disappointing. We took our youth sports team of 11 yos and walking around areas we weren’t familiar with trying to find a random sign in sunny heat was a terrible experience. Was this a scam? We used our team’s funds to pay for it. We finally stopped after about 20 minutes of kids complaining and took them for ice cream and an indoor escape room instead, with funds from our own pocket.
Hi, thank you for sharing this, and we're really sorry your team's outing ended this way. We looked into what likely happened: a very common but frustrating issue is that a phone stays connected to a weak public WiFi network (for example near a café or public building) that shows as "connected" but has no real internet access — while mobile data stays switched off because the phone assumes it's already online. When that happens, the app can't load the map or register answers, exactly as you experienced. This doesn't make it any less our responsibility — the app should detect this and clearly warn users to switch to mobile data, and it currently doesn't. We've flagged this as a priority fix for our development team. We also understand the bigger picture here: this was booked with your youth team's funds, and you ended up paying out of pocket for ice cream and an escape room after 20 minutes of frustrated 11-year-olds in the heat. That's not okay, and it's not the experience we want any group — especially kids — to have. We'd like to refund your booking in full. Please reach out to us at info@explorial.com with your booking reference so we can take care of this right away. In case it helps for future outdoor apps: turning off WiFi entirely (not just "not connecting" to it) usually forces the phone onto mobile data and avoids this issue.
It sucked. Couldn’t get it to work. Emailed for refund still haven’t heard anything. I wouldn’t waste money on this.

Scavenger hunt was fun. It allowed us to see things we normally wouldn't have paid attention to.👍👍 it's great for all ages. We ranged from 25-63 yrs old and everyone enjoyed it

Choosing to spend only a short time in Nashville it was a great experience getting to know some nice places and doing the challenges along the way. We took a lot of photos and had an overall great time playing this experience!
