Absolutely recommended for anyone who really wants to know about the country and place they travel!!
I still remember and get excited. The historical information provided on that tour seems so fundamental to begin to understand a little bit the culture in Brazil and Rio. All on a tour of beautiful places that are part of the enjoyment of the ride. In our case we did it with the guide Bruno who was the best thing that could happen to us, how he transmits it was very important because he made everything closer and more relevant. Bruno involved in his story deeply touches and makes you feel closer to the place you are visiting and the story he tells and vibrates. I deeply appreciate the experience and appreciate that Bruno was our guide. A before and after in my life. Thank you!
My mom and I went on the African Heritage walking tour with Rio FW Tours and had a phenomenal time!! Our tour guide was Rafael and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture in Brazil and very patient with all of our questions. The tour was about 2.5 hours which allowed us to learn a lot without getting overwhelmed. We will definitely do more tours with this company!
Excellent. Thank you very much for the review. Take care! :)
Rômulo was a great informant! The pride he has for Río is unmatched and it showed during his presentation. Rômulo needs to be the highest paid tour guide the company has! The experience was life changing!!!
Wow, that amazing! We are so happy to read that! Romulo is a great guide. Thanks for the review and take care!
Unforgettable experience! I took the special tour of Little Africa on May 13 with guide Rafael and it was a super pleasant afternoon. The tour of the centre and port area of Rio de Janeiro is beautiful and the guide delivers the information in a clear and well-humored way, combining history and curiosities in order to make the tour easy, although very rich in information! Even when I was alone, I felt welcomed by the group, which Rafael guided at a good pace, making it easy for everyone to accompany, but without extending the tour so that it became exhausting. I recommend this tour, which has an excellent value, delivers everything it promises and more!!! We talked about the possibility of a special tour in Santa Teresa in June and my place is already reserved!
Muito obrigado pela sua avaliação! E fique de olho nas nossas redes sociais para futuros tours especiais! :)
I did a tour in English with Amanda. I got a lot of information, Amanda was full of knowledge and showed great enthusiasm to share as much information as possible. This specific tour didn’t involve a lot of walking. Very glad I did it as I learnt a lot and understood the area much more. Thanks Amanda, oh and yes, very strange that you pay what you want.
I just did the African Heritage Tour on Saturday 3/16/19 in English. There were just two of us. Our tour guide was Amanda. While Amanda was very informative for the tour, there are several big concerns I have about the way in which she conducted it. Tour guides should never state their opinion on controversial topics, especially when political in nature. Not only did Amanda do this, but she did so at the detriment of my own religion, people who live in Favelas, black & brown people who use the quota system for college admittance, and trans gender people. As a Spanish teacher myself, I would lose my job if I were to tell one of my students what is wrong with his or her religion publicly. I also would never take aim at a political ideology publicly as I know I could offend them. Amanda did all of this and I felt very uncomfortable throughout the tour. This would be a great tour if the sarcasm and personal opinion pieces were taken out.
Thank you for the review! After being asked about her conduct, the guide acknowledged that she was extremely unhappy in giving her personal opinions on such sensitive issues. In addition to being warned and punished, she is also under training, and knowing that she can be disconnected from the company if she maintain such behavior. Rio Free Walking Tour does not share her thoughts or ideas. We apologize for this extremely unfortunate experience.
The tour is really nice and you get to learn a lot about history and culture in Rio. It's definitely worth doing if you can spare a could of hours in an evening
Our guide was Amanda. Loves the story! Plus it makes the tour look terrible! Highly recommended! We left very happy! Thank you!
