We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide Iku , and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She was incredibly kind, attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about sharing her knowledge. From the moment the tour began, she made everyone feel welcome, asking thoughtful questions and ensuring we were comfortable throughout the day. She went above and beyond by providing thoughtful extras like cooling towels, adorable little gifts, and even a sweet piece of candy as a farewell gesture. She also took photos for us, which allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves. Her use of historical photos during the tour brought each location to life, making the stories even more meaningful. She was always looking out for our comfort, pointing out convenient washroom locations and giving us options whenever we needed a break. Her warmth, attention to detail, and exceptional knowledge made this one of the best guided tours I’ve ever experienced. She truly made our day unforgettable.

Guide was thorough but not in your face about it. Extremely friendly and even brought us frozen sports drinks since it was hot out. Her name was Miho and I would highly recommend her for anybody going through the Gion area.
