Tour a piedi del Distretto 8 di Budapest

Descrizione

The tour gives a very important side of Budapest’s story. Had an excellent experience following Ari.
We’re from Sydney and we were looking for an offbeat tour and this didn’t disappoint. Davide, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge and as a student himself, showed us some of the underground places that was very interesting. We met Davide in a park in Districy 8 and spent the first hour learning about the heavy industrialised area of former years and its transformation into what it is today. We got on a public bus and were taken to a different part of the district and into the Jewish area. Very sad and confronting. Overall, we would recommend this tour. The only constructive comment is that it’s advertised as a crime tour. I think a few real life examples would have added to the experience.
We’re here from Sydney, Australia, and wanted to experience a tour that took us off the traditional Budapest sightseeing track. We met Davide, our guide, in a park in District 8. For the whole tour he was a fountain of knowledge, not only on the points of interest we stopped at, but on Budapest’s history generally. District 8 is not somewhere you’d ever think of exploring, but its history is fascinating and Davide expertly explained its positive transformation from an industrial power house to what it is today. The only constructive feedback I can offer is that the tour title references crime. While there was talk of general crime, it would have been good to hear of actual examples. Overall though, we thought that the tour was good value for money and would recommend it to those looking for something different.
I was very happy to join the walking tour and see Budapest from an unusual point of view. The excursion was well organized, the tour guide was very well prepared for our questions and you could see his interest in the 8 district and Budapest itself, since he’s not from here either. I loved the architecture and all of the chosen spots for us to stop. Would highly recommend it for anyone’s first time in the city!
This tour was such a great way to see a different side of Budapest—away from the usual tourist spots. We explored areas like Chinatown, Mátyás tér, and Népszínház utca, and got to see the real, everyday city that regular tours don't show you. The guide was amazing, sharing a well-connected story full of interesting historical facts. We even had a shot of local alcohol in front of a neighborhood store, and the old photos shown by our guide really brought the history to life. Budapest is much more than the glamorous New York cafe, and I’m so glad there are tours like this showing that side!
