Terrible contact and communications with local operator, guide spoke minimal english; she followed the script. NO HIDDEN GEMS.... not worth our time, train trip in from Zurich or learning any real historical info.
Our group totaled three couples. We booked separately, but didn't realize that was going to put us in different groups. It was a little bit of a mess up at first, but the two guides handled it great. Either way, don't book your group separate from each other. That said, the trip was amazing, and our guide, Elmo, was fantastic. He started by taking us to a map showing the evolution of Bern over the last couple centuries, and showed us breathtaking cathedrals and banking sites. We recommend this tour. It was also an easy train ride from Lousanne, but it was $36 each way per person.
We had a wonderful walking tour of Bern with Carlos. He was wonderful. Fun and funny and extremely knowledgeable about Bern and Switzerland in general. We enjoyed our tour and felt we learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this tour!
