Itinerario
Il primo monumento da vedere durante il tour è la più grande chiesa cattolica di Sarajevo, la cattedrale del Sacro Cuore di Gesù. Sulla piazza di fronte alla chiesa di solito offriamo una breve introduzione e diamo alcune informazioni generali sulla città e il paese, la cultura, la situazione economica e politica, la tradizione, ecc. Daremo uno sguardo all'interno della cattedrale, ascolteremo una storia e saremo pronti per continuare.
Di fronte al Museo degli Ebrei, la guida ti racconterà della vita del popolo ebreo a Sarajevo nella storia e oggi. Un piccolo elemento fondamentale di questo luogo è la scritta Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures, che rappresenta le influenze in architettura, religione e cultura del nostro paese da oriente e occidente.
''Incontro delle culture di Sarajevo” è il messaggio in via Ferhadija, vicino al Bezistan di Gazi Husrev Bey. Questo è il luogo in cui si fondono due culture dominanti, che un tempo plasmavano Sarajevo.
La moschea di Gazi Husrev-beg è la più grande di Sarajevo e allo stesso tempo il monumento più rappresentativo costruito in stile architettonico ottomano. Si trova nel cuore del centro storico. Dal cortile bellissimo della moschea di Gazi Husrev-beg vedrai la torre dell'Orologio e altri monumenti religiosi circostanti intorno che sono stati sovvenzionati da Gazi Husrev-beg. Nota: gli ospiti possono a scelta visitare l'interno della moschea. Solo l'ingresso al cortile è libero.
Il Sebilj è una fontana in legno in stile ottomano al centro della piazza Baščaršija a Sarajevo, costruita da Mehmed Pasha Kukavica nel 1753.
Via dei ramaioli. Goditi l'aspetto autentico della strada che è stato conservato per secoli. L'artigianato del ramaio vive ancora in questa strada.
Quando arrivi di fronte al municipio, per prima cosa rimarrai stupito dalle colline e dalle montagne che circondano Sarajevo, dove le persone vivono ancora; loro possono godersi la vista migliore sulla città. Conoscerai la storia di questo splendido Municipio e potrai scattare splendide foto mentre attraverserai uno dei ponti più antichi della città.
Ponte popolare con Spite House vicino. Per la testardaggine del proprietario, la casa divenne nota come la Casa del Dispetto. Oggi è un famoso ristorante nazionale e un sito del patrimonio culturale e storico protetto.
La Moschea dell'Imperatore è la moschea più antica di Sarajevo e una delle più antiche della Bosnia ed Erzegovina. Si presume che Isa Bey Ishaković, il fondatore di Sarajevo, fece costruire questo luogo di culto subito dopo la fondazione della città nel 1462 in onore del sultano Mehmed II “il Conquistatore”.
Conosciuto anche come Principov Most è il luogo dove Gavrilo Princip, che si trovava a pochi metri da questo ponte, assassinò l'arciduca Francesco Ferdinando e sua moglie Sofie. Questo incidente, noto come Assassinio di Sarajevo, portò allo scoppio della Prima Guerra Mondiale.
Il bezistan (bazar coperto) di Gazi Husrev-beg è uno dei bezistan conservati a Sarajevo del periodo ottomano. Costruito nel 1555 a Baščaršija, il Bezistan serve ancora oggi al suo scopo: il commercio.

Tašlihan è stato il terzo caravanserraglio a essere costruito in questo luogo, e puoi vedere i resti di questo hotel. Questa Statua dell'Uomo Multiculturale si trova nella Piazza di Alija Izetbegović (il primo presidente del paese), vicino a una delle più grandi chiese ortodosse della regione balcanica. Oltre alla chiesa e alla scultura, la piazza è particolare anche per i giocatori di scacchi, principalmente pensionati. Potrai conoscere la storia e ti parleremo della scultura e del suo significato.
Una rosa di Sarajevo è un tipo di memoriale a Sarajevo realizzato con una cicatrice di cemento causata dall'esplosione di un proiettile di mortaio che è stata successivamente riempita di resina rossa.

We had the chance to join the walking tour without booking in advance. We were at the square when we saw someone holding a Free Walking Tour umbrella, so we asked if we could join, and luckily we could! It was one of the best walking tours I have ever been on. Very interesting from start to finish. Our guide, Adnan, explained everything in such an easy and pleasant way that it was effortless to follow along. I didn’t get bored for a single moment. He also answered many of our questions and curiosities with patience and enthusiasm. Joining this tour was definitely a great choice. I’ve joined walking tours in other cities before, and honestly, some of them were disappointing because they didn’t reach the same level as this one. I highly recommend it!

We were fortunate to do this tour with the immensely erudite Adnan. Sarajevo is a city best experienced by walking and we covered the city’s history from the Ottomans to the Habsburgs and the siege of the 1990s. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting - we did it on our first day and it was very helpful for orienting ourselves.

We had a great tour guide (Adnan) who spoke very good English. During the tour we learned a lot about the historical and cultural elements of the city: for example, something about copper craftsmanship, the roses in Sarajevo or famous poets and thinkers. It was a good and balanced mix of everything. My personal highlight was when we went to a "workshop"/shop for copper products and were able to watch the production there. Highly recommended!
