Very hot day. Not a lot of shade or air conditioning, but worth it for the Crown Jewels! I would go back when it is cooler and stay longer
Quick to get in and easy to navigate. Loved everything we got to see! So cool to see the jewels and torture chambers.
We had a fantastic time at the tower. So informative and lots to look at. Everything was explained really well. To see everything there were lots of stairs which was fine for us but might be difficult for some.
Thought we had a guide but didn’t . Very disappointed. Wandered aimlessly. Asked person at gate and was told no guides. Meeting point inside with no evidence of guide
The Tower of London is a must see in London. It can take you a few hours to experience the entire site Very informative. Yeoman Warders are very well informed and entertaining The Criwn Jewel exhibit was excellent Make sure you also get to the Armory (the White Tower) Also don’t miss the walking the castle walls. In the back you can have great city views of downtown London
Paid for the tour received ticket and followed my GPS to the meeting point. Never found tour guide. No one (even the people who worked at the tower) knew anything. No Viator signage nothing. I paid extra for a ticket I could have.purchased at the regular ticket booth since I had no guide anyway.
Wear good walking shoes, understand that there are many stairs in the complex and allow plenty of time to view the magnificent exibitions.
I thought this was okay. It had been hyped up to me, but having just gone to visit other castles, this one was just not as good. They tried to change it too much instead of leaving most of it original, which would have made it better. I did enjoy seeing the Crown Jewels, which was the highlight of the visit.
The tour is not led by a specific guide. You go into the tower and every 45 minutes there is a beefeater giving a tour to anyone who wants to hear it. I thought that we would meet someone and be taken on a tour and I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out what I was supposed to do until someone told me. There were no instructions indicating the tour was at you leisure.
Best tour of our trip! Wayne (#418) was great. We all enjoyed his fun and interesting narrative. Highly recommend.
