Goditi un tour di un giorno mentre verremo a prendere dal tuo hotel a Siem Reap e guideremo per 15 km da Siem Reap fino al molo delle barche di Chong Khneas. Saliremo a bordo di una barca locale per un bel giro sul Tonle Sap attraverso i villaggi galleggianti di Chong Khneas e villaggi su palafitte. Questo tour ti porterà in due diversi villaggi lungo le pianure alluvionali del Tonle Sap. Scopri il caratteristico ciclo di flusso del lago Tonle Sap e come questo fatto lo renda la risorsa economica ed ecologica più importante della Cambogia. Goditi un tour di 5-6 ore durante il prelievo dal tuo hotel alle 8:00. Guideremo per 15 km a sud di Siem Reap fino al molo delle barche di Chong Kneas.
Ci imbarcheremo quindi su una barca locale per un piacevole giro sul Tonle Sap, passando per il villaggio galleggiante di Chong Khneas. Il Tonle Sap è il lago più grande del sud-est asiatico e si estende nella parte nord-occidentale della Cambogia. Il lago è economicamente importante in quanto funge da principale fonte di molti tipi di pesci. Si gonfia fino a dieci volte la sua dimensione normale durante la stagione delle piogge, portando diverse risorse acquatiche. Serve anche come habitat per diverse specie di uccelli acquatici. Chong Khneas è un villaggio galleggiante ai margini del Tonle Sap. Esplora le case galleggianti, composte prevalentemente da vietnamiti e riconoscibili per le case dai colori vivaci. Dai uno sguardo alla vita del villaggio galleggiante mentre passiamo lungo case galleggianti, scuole, cliniche, palazzetti dello sport e persino allevamenti di maiali. Ci fermeremo al Gecko Environment Center, dove potrai saperne di più sull'ecologia e la ricca biodiversità del Tonle Sap e delle sue pianure alluvionali circostanti.
Continueremo la nostra gita in barca al villaggio di pescatori di Kompong Phluk. Le case qui sono costruite su palafitte. Questo villaggio è composto quasi esclusivamente di origine Khmer. Gli abitanti del villaggio spostano le case a seconda della stagione. Abitano su palafitte durante la stagione delle piogge e si spostano in piccole capanne vicino alle sponde durante la stagione secca. Visiterai la pagoda, l'unico edificio del villaggio che non è costruito su palafitte, e osserverai gli abitanti del villaggio mentre svolgono le loro attività quotidiane. Ti trasferirai quindi su una piccola canoa (agosto-gennaio opzionale) per essere remato dagli abitanti del villaggio, per portarti nel profondo della fitta foresta di mangrovie. Le mangrovie sono adattate in modo unico all'ambiente allagato e possono sopravvivere in modo impressionante essendo completamente sommerse durante una parte dell'anno. Ti trasferiremo al tuo hotel a Siem Reap dopo aver visitato il villaggio di Kampong Phluk.

Se a causa del cattivo tempo (in pochissime occasioni può accadere nella stagione delle piogge tra luglio e metà novembre), quindi visiteremo solo Kampong Khleang e Kampong Phluk Villages in auto e faremo un giro in barca a Kampong Phluk così come a Kampong Khleang Villaggio.

Overpriced. Disappointing. Dropped us at a floating cafe, caged miserable scared looking animals, baby crocs handed to people to hold, unethical, and tried to rip us off by saying you could only go around the floating village if you paid extra 20USD. We thought that was the trip we were getting! Phoned our tuktuk driver and he made our boat take us around the edge, no stilt village as mentioned, we'd recommend giving this one a miss. Many other disappointed and pissed off tourists here too, they should explain before you go that you need to pay extra if you actually want to go around the village. And no respect for animals here, just put for show. Guide included was angling for tips. Felt pretty unprofessional. Recommend going to a further away lake spot for hopefully a much better and authentic experience, as this one wasn't.
This was one of my favorite things we did in Cambodia. It felt like a sneak peak into rural life here and especially life in the fishing villages. You will stop at the floating villages and then also walk through the town (or canoe though depending on the water levels when you visit). We got to visit some of the locals home and see how they live, prepare food, and work. We also stopped in the school where the children were anxious to show off the English they are learning. Lunch at the restaurant was lovely! Thank you Nak and Sokhen for a great experience.
The trip was amazing! The views are so beautiful, fishing village is something I’ve never seen before. It’s even difficult to find words to express fillings! Special thanks to our guid Choub! He made our tour even more interesting with telling a stories about history and local traditions.

On a very hot day we had a lovely cruise on the largest freshwater lake in southeastern Asia. Although a long drive from Siem Reap, the journey was worth it. The floating village was fascinating with every conceivable facility available including Churches and restaurants.

Nak was an amazing tour guide, went above and beyond to cater to our interests and personalise our experience! My favourite was Kamplong Pluk village, the floating village where you can see the culture of the temples and schools. Highly recommend if in Siem Reap.

This was a refreshing trip to Tonle Sap Lake! It was fascinating for me to learn about the two floating villages in the area as well as the respective adaptations have to cope with the weather conditions. Highly recommended!

Our family of 4 had a highly interesting trip to two floating villages guided by Mr Van Lonh. We learnt a lot from his sharing of the villager’s way of life and the eco-system in Tonle Sap. He was teamed by the driver, Mr Vong whose MPV is spacious and clean. We were assured by his safe driving. The highlight for me was to paddle the canoe among tall mangroves in the lake. I highly recommend this trip. 👍
