Sailing from downtown Buenos Aires to the delta. A pleasant experience
Hola, gracias por enviarnos su opinión sobre nuestro Tigre Delta Premium Tour Buenos Aires. Con certeza, ayudará a otros viajeros. Nos alegra que haya disfrutado del paseo al Delta de Tigre. Cordialmente, Carlos
1. There are too few seats on the outside deck and they see nothing from the cabin. So it can happen to you that they have to stand the whole journey. 2. Misleading travel description. There is no stop with admission included (point 2 of the detailed itinerary) but the ship races at top speed across the Rio de la Plata to El Tigre, because it takes passengers there again for the return journey. Here you will be abandoned at Puerto de Frutos and will be asked to buy "crafts" for 30 minutes. Rip off the worst kind, Made in China quality. Nobody in our group wanted to see this, they were all just waiting for the bus for the return trip. The real sights of El Tigre, such as the beautiful museum or the boulevard with cafes etc. definitely do not see and experience them. You don't have time for a stroll through El Tigre. Overall far too expensive for 60 minutes boat ride, 30 minutes Puerto de Frutos and 60 minutes bus return. Conclusion: Maybe interesting for mass tourists but with VIP this has nothing to do.
Hi, thank your for posting. We regret to hear that your exprience was not as you expected. There are seats enough for everybody, otherwise, it is forbidden to have more than the capacity of seats onboard. Mercado de Frutos is place where local food and hadicraft are offered. We do not include any entrance or advertise a place where you have to buy an entrance ticket. Tigre is a nice place to spend more time, we agree, but it should be more expensive to have a more extended tour. A private tour would be another option for those who wants to have more time and customize this experience. Cordially, Carlos
The boat tour was enjoyable. The communication re: the added Grill Lunch ($25 per person) was sadly lacking. At no time prior to getting on the tour van were we advised the grill lunch would be at the end of the boat tour & we would be dropped off at a restaurant near the Obelisk. We were also not told that we would not be returned to our accommodation at the end of the boat tour, but would have to get ourselves back. The restaurant food was terrible & the service wasn’t any better.
Hi Bonni, thank you for posting a review. We regret to hear that your experience was not as you expected. It is clearly stated in the exclusions: Drop-off if lunch is selected. It ends at a downtown restaurant. What you paid for lunch was $ 18,50.- each. We would have liked to know why you considered food was terrible and more details of the places you visited. That would have helped us to check any issue, make the necessary improvements and would have helped other travelers, too. Cordially, Carlos.
This excursion was more than we expected! Martina was an amazing guide! Well done! I feel we got more than just the Tigre Delta tour. Also, you MUST do the add-on lunch! Oh my goodness, it was AMAZING!

For half a day, it is nice tour. If you can find some other better activity, I would suggest doing that. Nothing special that you will see. Definitely don’t fall into tourist. Trap area for shopping. I booked Tour with lunch, but I would recommend doing lunch at your own.

A world away from the city, this hour long cruise gives you a water view of the city and the canal homes (many with no modern amenities). Stop at Tigre Fruit Market a highlight and wish we had more time there.

Having seen Tigre and the delta on Race Across the World I wanted to take this trip. We were however blown away by both Tigre and the delta to the extent we want to return and stay longer next time.

We were picked up about 75 minutes late. No communication, we asked the hotel to call, they did, and lots of false promises. Once we finally arrived at el Tigre, the guide announced that the program would be reduced due to their late arrival. We walked along the river, went to a tourist trap (vendor) area, then rode a boat back to Buenos Aires- which was nice. 80% of the guides explanations were in Spanish and useless to us. One of the poorest excuses for what could have been a nice morning tour.
Hi, thank you for posting a review. We regret to here that your experience was not as you expected. The delay was due to traffic conditions. We made our best acording to this issue. The tour was not reduced, it was made the opposite way due to river conditions (low water). The tourist trap you mention is the most important market in Tigre, Puerto de Frutos, visited by hundreds of locals everyday and one of the main places in the area. The tour is guided according to the nationality of travelers, in this case in spanish and english. This language has shorter sentences than spanish and that may have let you think the guide was guiding more in spanish but they usually balance both. Best regards, Carlos
Beware this trip is advertised falsely. It was 4 hours in a minibus and just 2 hours on the river. It is a small ferry not a boat that they show the picture of. There is nothing premium about this. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Hi, thank you for posting a review. We regret to hear that your experience was not as you expected. This tour lasts no more than 5 hours as it is advertised on our product. It involves a bit more than 2 hours of sailing and transportation for the pick-up and drop-off. Tigre is 30 km, so there is aprox. 50 minute trip back by van/bus to downtown plus the time spent on the drop-off. But never 4 hours on a bus. It looks like you took a different tour through another agency and not ours. We would have liked to know more about the places you visited, that would have helped other travelers. Cordially, Carlos
Everything was excellent. Very friendly people, nice views, smooth ride, and the trip was very interesting and exciting.
