Immergetevi nel silenzio del deserto di Atacama e scoprite uno dei cieli notturni più belli della Terra. A breve distanza in auto da San Pedro de Atacama, lontano dalle luci della città, milioni di stelle appaiono sopra di voi e la Via Lattea si estende nel cielo del deserto. La Roofless Experience è un'esperienza astronomica per piccoli gruppi che combina l'osservazione al telescopio, una presentazione di astronomia e un'atmosfera rilassata sotto le stelle. Grazie a due potenti telescopi da 16 pollici, potrete osservare stelle, nebulose, ammassi stellari e costellazioni australi, mentre la vostra guida vi illustrerà la scienza e la storia del cosmo in modo coinvolgente e accessibile. Tra un'osservazione e l'altra, rilassatevi sotto le stelle con un bicchiere di vino, una cioccolata calda o un tè e deliziosi spuntini, avvolti in calde coperte. Per concludere la serata in bellezza, ogni ospite riceve una foto professionale sotto il cielo di Atacama. L'Universo Privato è la nostra opzione esclusiva per i momenti speciali.

Itinerario
Il tour inizia con il prelievo dei passeggeri presso l'alloggio, che di solito dura circa 30 minuti, quindi ci sposteremo nelle nostre strutture a circa 7 km fuori San Pedro dove la nostra guida li aspetterà.
Vi faremo un breve discorso di benvenuto e faremo delle fotografie ricordo, è molto importante venire con abiti caldi e chiari. Successivamente faremo un breve discorso sull'astronomia legata alla formazione stellare e all'uso dei telescopi. Infine, utilizzeremo i telescopi da 14 pollici per scoprire l'universo, dove potrai ammirare, a seconda della data del tuo viaggio, diversi tipi di stelle, nebulose, pianeti e altri oggetti che ti lasceranno senza parole.
Terminata l'esperienza, iniziamo il rientro a San Pedro, lasciando tutti i passeggeri nei rispettivi alloggi.

Il tour inizia con il prelievo dei passeggeri presso i loro alloggi, che di solito dura circa 30 minuti. Dopodiché, ci recheremo presso la nostra struttura, a circa 7 km da San Pedro, dove la nostra guida vi aspetterà. - Non offriamo il servizio di prelievo presso le strutture ricettive situate al di fuori dell'area urbana di San Pedro, come ad esempio gli Ayllus come Coyo, Beter, Sequitor, Quitor, Solor o Tulor.

The experience was great! The photos were well done, they tried to get through it quickly for a large group but ensured everyone got a good photo to be happy with at the end of the experience. The drink + snack board was a great touch while we were learning more from Jhonathan educating us before we dove into the telescope viewing. We saw so many different things and he always explained and helped ensure we could see what we needed to. Definitely recommend the experience!

There are experiences that exceed any expectation, and this was one of them. I came to Atacama with a very clear goal: to live a true astronomical experience. During the trip, I participated in two different tours, one in a group and another private. I can say, without any doubt, that the experience provided by Jhonatan was something completely different and surprising. It was possible to see the sparkle in his eyes with each explanation, the emotion in his voice when talking about the universe, and the genuine desire to share this knowledge. We cannot rate the experience highly enough. From start to finish, Jonathon put so much effort into making the night as magical as possible. The sky itself was beautiful, but everything was so thought through on the tour that it made the experience perfect. Jonathon and his wife went to extra care to ensure our allergies were taken care of and that my partner was kept safe. The snack boards were delicious, as was the wine. Jonathon is clearly very passionate and extremely knowledgeable. It was a privilege to be able to listen to him speak about the stars and learn so much whilst gazing at the beautiful views. Each of us got plenty of time to use the telescopes, it wasn’t rushed and Jonathon wanted to make sure that we had all seen everything. The whole night ran seamlessly. This was my favorite activity in Atacama and we went on four different tours! From the moment I stepped out of the van and looked up I knew I was in paradise. Being able to observe the Milky Way with the naked eye is a priceless experience, and that coupled with wine, snacks, and professional photos makes this a no brainer. Jhonathan and Jhonathan were both amazing, knowledgeable tour guides who imparted so much fun knowledge about astronomy and chemistry to our group. Thanks to them we were able to even observe some constellations!. If you're a space aficionado, this tour is an absolute must.

I did this experience with Jonathan who is extremely knowledgeable about astronomy and did an excellent job highlighting the stars, constellations, and galaxies in the sky over the Atacama desert. It was a very small group with 3 people which gave it a very personal feel.

Jonathan was a very enthusiastic guide. We loved his enthusiasm . We spent about an hour learning to take photos of the sky with our phones. Then we looked at stars in two telescopes. It was freezing. My recommendation is to wear tons of layers, a hat and gloves and be prepared to freeze. The only thing I would have liked is more instruction on the constellations before spending hours looking at stars in the telescopes. The food was a charcuterie board but we didn’t really get a chance to sit and eat it. If it is going to be a very cold night, I recommend that they provide extra blankets and maybe a fire. All in all they tried very hard to make it a nice experience but with the cold temps and ineffective itinerary, it was not great.

While we always advise our guests to dress in warm layers and we actively provide Heat Holders blankets TOG 1.7 during our tours, regarding your suggestion of an open fire, please note that we purposely avoid it as it is scientifically contraindicated for hight quality; fire creates light pollution that resets the 20+ minutes your eyes need to adapt to the dark, and the heat generates atmospheric turbulence that distorts telescope imagery. However, your feedback regarding other alternative heating solutions is well taken, and it is something we are actively looking into for the winter season. We apologize if these measures were not sufficient to keep you completely comfortable during your specific night. Regarding the itinerary, we usually structure our sessions to optimize the specific visibility windows of celestial objects and the astrophotography setups. However, your feedback about incorporating a more thorough orientation on the constellations before diving into the telescopes is excellent. We will certainly work on adjusting our flow to ensure a better balance. We also take note of your comment about the charcuterie board timing to ensure our guests can enjoy their refreshments at a more relaxed pace.
