Descrizione

An unmissable experience

This absolutely is unmissable experience, we enjoyed every minute of it. There is a great range of Irish history to learn about. It is beautifully and very thoughtfully laid out. Lovely personal stories from travellers. It is also very accessible. When we are back in the area will come back and visit again. Well done we loved it. Thank you Marian and Fiona

A good visit to understand the history of Ireland

This is a small but well done museum. You leaned about the famine and the Titanic in one stop. We visited in early May by cruise ship and we probably didn't need to get tickets ahead of time. We never saw a long line to get tickets and didn't see a "skip the line" entry if you already had tickets. We still needed to go to the ticket counter even with our prepaid ticket. Don't have any regrets though.

Risposta dell'operatore

Dear Ann, Thank you for visiting and for your review. Thank you for your suggestion regarding a "skip the line" entry, it is something that we will certainly look at providing. Delighted you enjoyed your visit to us and that you didn't have too long a wait. Regards, Breda

The Irish emigration to the Americas and Australia

3.5 million Irish people sought a better life elsewhere but many died in poor conditions on ships and never reached their destinations. Also covered the story of the Titanic and other great ships of that time.

Great experience at the docks!

The Heritage Ctr. was right on the dock and easy to locate. The individual stories were heartbreaking, but with the well done exhibits, brought them to life. Being given a ticket for a specific passenger made it even more interesting. We highly recommend the experience!

Great place

This place is a must when you visit Cobh, loads inside, information, toilets , gift shop , cafe , and the Queens town story self guided tour, it cost €15 per adult our child was free. It tells you story of the Titanic and irish emigration it was very interesting we'll worth the money. Staff were very friendly, it is free to go in you only pay if you do the tour, if you want to go cafe etc it's free.

Great Museum

A really good museum, right in the centre of town. A great insight into the history of this town specifically and Ireland more broadly.

Risposta dell'operatore

Find your Irish roots at the Cobh Heritage Center

Wow the geneology review by Christy Keating at the Cobh Heritage Museum was a high point for both my sister and me. Christy worked very hard going through records to find my brother in law's Irish roots and so we went back later in the week for him to review our family. He is a delight and makes the search for your Irish roots really fun!I The museum was great too and we n=bought some Aran knits at the store there and had some warm hot chocolate in the cafe. A lovely cold day spent in COBH! We rented a taxi to show us the town in 2 hours and that was a wonderful experience too! Wonderful people and great place!
