Vivi l'India contemporanea! Un raduno popolare per la gente del posto per uscire e giocare a giochi da tavolo durante i fine settimana. Questo evento si tiene ogni fine settimana a Church Street, la strada più vivace e movimentata di Bangalore. Questo evento è aperto a chiunque abbia più di 14 anni. Le persone vengono da sole o in gruppo, ma tutti sono amichevoli e desiderosi di socializzare, giocare a nuovi giochi e riprendersi da una frenetica settimana di lavoro. Che tu abbia esperienza di gioco o meno, ti adatterai. Abbiamo oltre 300 giochi da tavolo che includono semplici giochi per principianti, pesanti Euro e giochi sociali. Ti aiuteremo a trovare un gioco adatto, giocatori con cui giocare e ti insegneremo le regole. L'evento è all'interno dell'edificio Purvankara Pavillion (dopo Starbucks e di fronte a Matteo Coffee). Si trova a soli 50 metri dalla stazione della metropolitana MG (uscita Church Street). Puoi entrare dalle porte di vetro di WeWork e dire "The Boardgame Den", qualcuno sarà lì per guidarti. Itinerario
Avrai l'opportunità di giocare a giochi da tavolo e di interagire con la gente del posto in un ambiente sicuro, pulito e salutare. Entrando nell'edificio, vedrai qualcuno alla reception. Per favore, dì "The Boardgame Den" e mostra loro il tuo biglietto. Ti faranno entrare. Una volta entrato nel piano principale, qualcuno ti guiderà. Ti aiuteremo a trovare un gioco, i giocatori con cui giocare e ti insegneremo le regole del gioco. Puoi giocare a qualsiasi tipo di gioco e a tutti i giochi che vuoi fino alla chiusura. Non è richiesta alcuna esperienza precedente. C'è una dispensa al centro dove è possibile ottenere acqua potabile, tè e caffè gratuiti. La macchina del caffè chiuderà alle 17:00 il sabato e alle 16:00 la domenica.

I initially booked this with a friend who decided not to join, but it was still an excellent experience going as a solo traveler. This was my first trip to India, and I thought this would provide a great opportunity to hang out with some locals. I unfortunately arrived with only an hour left so I didn't get the full experience to be able to hang out with everyone, but I so wish I had been able to go for the full time. The host organizes this experience with her daughter in a WeWork. When you arrive, you're greeted by the host (I sadly didn't catch her name!) and she makes sure you're well taken care of. There are different games set up on various tables and they kindly set you up at a table with other gamers and explain the rules to you and continue to check in to make sure you're understanding and enjoying yourself. The host and her daughter were gracious enough to invite me the next weekend since I couldn't spend much time there. Sadly, I wasn't in town, but I would have definitely wanted to join.
I went with three of my friends and we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to hang out with friends without the clutch of food and drinks. We also played some big group games and everyone we played with were approachable and friendly.
Such a wonderful experience. Everyone was warm and friendly. When I entered, I saw a lot of different games laid out on the tables. All of them had different themes and I was told that they were of varied levels of complexity. I was new to gaming so the host suggested that I get seated on a table of Catan with 3 other people. None of us had played the game before. Someone taught us the rules and patiently helped us with our doubts. It was fun! I then took a short break, had some coffee and spoke to people. After that, I sat on one of the central sofa areas where we were about 10 people playing a light mafia type game. That was hilarious. It didn't even feel like we had just met. All of us were playing as if we knew each other for years. I am so glad that I joined this event. It was refreshing, fun and a great way to interact with strangers. I would suggest having a board or banner outside the door. The street has so much going on, it is easy to miss the entrance.
