Make sure you cover up, mosquitos love this tour as well, but I have to say it was really special, it’s a few miles so wear comfortable shoes. The views of the night sky are spectacular
Thank you, Brian! It was a pleasure meeting you. Mid-summer is typically the peak of bug season, which is why we remind guests what to bring and always carry a few extra supplies to help. Fortunately, the bugs usually dissipate about halfway through the evening as the temperature cools. This year has been a little different than normal due to the record snowfall, heavy spring melt, and flooding, which created ideal conditions for more mosquitoes than we usually see. We're glad you didn't let that stop you from enjoying the experience! We hope you have a wonderful rest of 2026. We'd love to have you join us again for one of our winter tours—no bugs, a completely different night sky, and we even provide hand warmers on the colder evenings. We hope to see you again in the Canadian Rockies!
This was an amazing experience and well worth the late start & even later end time! We were extremely lucky with the weather - only 1% cloud cover so were able to get fantastic views. Ella our tour guide was brilliant. Very knowledgeable & relaxed but also very safety conscious. She shared some great anecdotes & facts. All in all an excursion not to be missed. Just make sure you cover yourself in mosquito repellent and wear long sleeved layers!
I made a request to the guide for him to let me ask my girlfriend to marry under the lights of the stars and got it all right. The guide was great and helped me create a memory for life
We really enjoyed this night walking tour with Ella! She was very knowledgeable and a kind person to do this activity with. We felt very safe with her and learned a lot about the stars and constellations and Banff! We were split into 2 smaller groups rather than one big one which really made this experience top tier. We got some beautiful photos. The trail was easy to do, very safe, and kid friendly! Highly recommend adding this to your trip!
We had an awesome tour guide! Aiden was highly knowledgeable & very fun! He brought us to the best spots, gave advice on how to capture the best photos, how to edit them, & even found a perfect spot for Northern Light shots! Highly recommend this tour!

Even though the weather was not ideal for stargazing when we went, it was still a great experience. We captured some sights that we wouldn't have captured in the morning. Our guide was amazing! She was very helpful and friendly and pointed out some great views along the way!

The tour was amazing! Our tour guides were very informative, witty, and funny! Not to mention you get to see the beautiful night sky that Banff provides. It’s definitely a must do excursion when you visit Banff!
This was quite possibly the highlight of our trip to the area! It seems simple, a stargazing tour, but it was anything but ordinary. The stars, the colors, the satellites, the constellations…all beautiful. And Jacob, who was born and raised in Banff, was an excellent guide. He was funny, knowledgeable, and had some great stories. We had a blast.
