The Asado Experience

I’m Argentine, so I honestly thought I already knew what a good asado was. I grew up with it, so I never really thought there was much more to discover. But The Asado Experience completely changed the way I look at something that has always been such a normal part of my life. As soon as I arrived, I felt really comfortable. The house is beautiful and has such a warm atmosphere that you immediately feel at ease. It doesn’t feel like you’re going to a restaurant or some organized tourist activity. You actually feel like you’re going to someone’s home. The food was obviously the star of the night. And being Argentine, I have to say I’m pretty picky when it comes to asado. The meat was really, really good, and I loved seeing how everything was prepared and hearing about the different cuts and traditions behind it. It made me realize that there are so many little things about asado that I’ve always taken for granted. But what I liked the most was the people. Jose, our host, made the experience outstanding with all the stories and explanations she shared throughout the evening. It wasn’t just about telling us what we were eating, but about explaining the culture, the traditions and the meaning behind it. Everyone was from a different place, so we ended up talking about everything. Food, travel, our countries, funny stories, and random things that just came up during dinner. And I actually learned a lot from them too. I went there thinking I was going to show other people a little bit of Argentine culture, but I ended up discovering things about their cultures that I knew nothing about. That was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole experience. It felt like everyone was bringing something of their own to the table. At some point during the night, I completely forgot I was at an “experience.” I was just sitting around a table, eating good food, laughing and talking to people I had met only a few hours before. And I think that’s what makes it different. I left with a full stomach, so much knowledge and feeling extremely grateful. And I also left looking at asado a little differently. Something that feels so ordinary when you grow up with it can actually be pretty special when you stop and see it through someone else’s eyes. I’d definitely recommend The Asado Experience to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. And honestly, even if you’re Argentine, I think it’s worth going. You might be surprised by how different something so familiar can feel.

My time at The Asado Experience

I had THE best time at The Asado Experience. An invitation to leave your phone behind and stay present, such a luxury these days! Every detail was SO carefully taken care of, every tiny moment made magical and special, it is hosted in the most gorgeous house you could ask for, cozy, elegant, timeless. It truly makes you feel like you're living the true and unfiltered Argentinian asado at the same time you're learning the whole process of how it actually is made, by local Argentinian hosts! Topi and Cata, special mention to them, they make the whole thing super fun and spontaneous, like having an asado with your best friends. I felt like I was an Argentinian in my backyard sharing the secrets and customs of generations before me. If you've never tried asado before, you MUST visit this place; and even if you've had it a hundred times, I promise The Asado Experience feels like the very first time. Their goal is for you to have the best asado of your life. I personally have had asado an infinite amount of times, but this was different: it is not only a meal but a story, an inmersion, an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and learn something new while you make new friends. The guests who attended with me, Jackie, Cami, Maria, Abdullah, all incredible people I wouldn't have met hadn't I come here! Because that's what asado is all about, staying connected and being together!

The Asado Experience

I had an unforgettable evening at The Asado Experience. What makes it so special isn't just the incredible food: it's the feeling of being welcomed into a real family home. From the moment I walked through the door, it felt less like a tour and more like being invited to a friend's dinner party. Our host, Topi, was absolutely wonderful. She struck the perfect balance between being knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely warm, making conversation flow naturally throughout the evening. There were just three of us in the group: myself, another guest from San Francisco, and Topi—which made for an incredibly intimate experience. We spent hours chatting about life, culture, and Argentina over amazing food and wine, and by the end of the night it felt like we'd known each other for years. Every detail was thoughtfully curated. The house itself is beautiful, full of history and character, and you can immediately tell how much love goes into creating this experience. The quality of the meat was exceptional, easily some of the best beef I've ever had, and every course was paired perfectly. Nothing felt rushed; instead, the evening unfolded naturally, allowing everyone to truly enjoy the meal and each other's company. If you're looking for more than just a meal, this is it. It's an authentic glimpse into Argentine hospitality, centered around incredible food and even better people. Thank you, Topi, for making us feel so welcome: I’ll remember this evening for a very long time.

An unforgettable experience

The Asado Experience was one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve had. Rather than dining in a restaurant, you're welcomed into a beautiful family home where every detail reflects generations of hospitality and a genuine passion for sharing Argentine culture. Our host, Topi, was fantastic from start to finish. She was energetic, engaging, and made everyone feel instantly comfortable. We shared the evening with a wonderfully spirited couple from Baltimore, and before long we were all swapping travel stories, laughing, comparing adventures, and enjoying conversation that flowed effortlessly. It felt like old friends gathering around a dinner table instead of strangers meeting for the first time. The food was outstanding. Every cut of meat was cooked to perfection, showcasing the incredible quality of the ingredients, and you could tell that nothing was left to chance. The attention to detail extended far beyond the food: from the presentation to the stories behind the family home and Argentina's asado traditions. Everything felt personal, thoughtful, and authentic. What truly sets this experience apart is the people. Topi has a gift for creating an atmosphere where everyone feels included, relaxed, and genuinely connected. We came expecting a great meal, but left with wonderful memories, meaningful conversations, and a much deeper appreciation for Argentine culture. If you're visiting Buenos Aires, don't miss this experience.

Great experience

This was much more than just a meal—it was a true Argentine experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated, making everyone feel comfortable and part of the gathering. The quality of the food was outstanding. Every cut of meat was perfectly prepared, and the selection of wines was excellent, giving us the opportunity to experience authentic Argentine flavors at their best. A special mention goes to Sofía, who guided the experience beautifully. Her explanations were clear, engaging, and full of passion for Argentine culture and traditions. She created a relaxed and enjoyable environment while making sure every guest felt included and well taken care of. If you’re looking for an authentic Argentine asado experience, this is something I would highly recommend. A wonderful combination of great food, excellent wines, and genuine hospitality.

Wonderful Asador Evening

What an amazing grilling and dining experience in a beautiful historic home in belgrano! The "hands on" experience of preparing a meal on the asado with local experts was definitely memorable, an event we will try to recreate for our own family when we return home. The entire meal was beautifully prepared and served, paired with excellent selections of argentinian wine. The chef was extremely engaging, a knowledgeable teacher and a great storyteller. Thank you so much for the hospitality, and we look forward to joining you again!

The most phenomenal, immersive food experience ever!

Belen, Topi, and the team provided the most authentic, culturally immersive food experience I’ve ever had. The setting—in an actual home, the stories, the social mission—created an unforgettable experience. The experience of meeting other guests from other parts of the world and forging new connections and friendships. I highly recommend it, and wish the team lots of success and impact.

A family style asado experience that cannot be beat.

Cannot recommend this tour enough. It set in a great home in a great neighborhood leading to a truely homelike asado experience. Sophie our asadora meastra was awesome. Her abilty to tell funny and interesting stories about what asados mean to Argentinians made it a wonderful experience and must try in Buenos Aires.
