Un’occasione unica e posteriore per ricongiungersi e ricongiungersi con la propria cultura, radici e stirpe. Riceverai un nome tradizionale africano, e godrai di una vita di villaggio come la produzione di ceramiche in argilla, e in una tradizionale performance culturale che verrà visualizzata per darti il benvenuto nella comunità. Questa esperienza è riservata esclusivamente ai discendenti, in quanto è un pellegrinaggio sacro incentrato sulla guarigione e la riconnessione. I non discendenti possono aderire solo se sono un coniuge o un membro della famiglia nera di un partecipante. È un viaggio edificante dal punto di vista energetico che ti permette di assistere a come gli africani vivevano una volta come re e regine nelle loro terre prima di essere rubati nelle segrete di Cape Coast e portati via nel "Nuovo Mondo". Ti consigliamo di portare con te un po 'di denaro contante come potresti voler acquistare alcune delle bellissime perline africane come regali a casa, e anche un po' di donazione per sostenere e sollevare quello che fanno! Indossare il bianco, come è un colore di celebrazione di nuova vita o conformabile a vostra scelta va bene.

Itinerario
Ore 8:00 partenza dall'Hotel/Residence Accra per il Villaggio a bordo di un veicolo climatizzato. Arrivo intorno alle 10:00. Prima faremo una visita di cortesia ai capi e ai leader tradizionali della comunità, dove saremo accolti con tamburi e balli e riceveremo i tradizionali nomi africani.
Ci dirigeremo quindi verso il Lago Volta mozzafiato e ci godremo un fantastico pranzo in un ristorante sul lago. Il Lago Volta è il più grande lago artificiale dell'Africa e il secondo più grande del mondo.
Shai hills è la riserva del parco nazionale più vicina ad Accra dove possiamo vedere alcuni babbuini mentre guidiamo. Possiamo fermarci per qualche opportunità di scattare foto e continuare il nostro viaggio di ritorno ad Accra

Loved this tour. Our tour guide and driver were very good. The vehicle was very nice. Water was provided. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient. The naming ceremony was awesome. The village people were so warm and welcoming. A very incredible and memorable experience.

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
