Kura Hulanda è un museo del patrimonio culturale e un complesso alberghiero situato a Willemstad, Curaçao. Il complesso comprende un villaggio restaurato del XVIII secolo e mette in mostra la storia e la cultura della diaspora africana, concentrandosi in particolare sulla tratta transatlantica degli schiavi e sul suo impatto sulla regione dei Caraibi. Presenta mostre, manufatti e presentazioni multimediali che descrivono in dettaglio il viaggio degli africani ridotti in schiavitù, l'abolizione della schiavitù e i contributi culturali dei discendenti africani nelle Americhe. With a group of friends we walked this culiWalk. Super fun to do and we enjoyed the snacks and drinks. Chef Myriam is the absolute winner and also the end point at the Swinging Old Lady was very nice. Beautiful stories and we have learned quite a lot. Even though I have been to the island before. I really recommend it. (Nice tip, we had a small speaker so we all heard the same thing at the same time
Wat een heerlijke review – dank jullie wel voor het delen! Geweldig om te horen dat jullie zo genoten hebben van de CuliWalk, de hapjes en drankjes, en natuurlijk van Chef Myriam (we zijn het helemaal met jullie eens: een echte topper!). Leuk dat zelfs als je al vaker op het eiland bent geweest, de tour toch nog nieuwe verhalen en inzichten heeft gebracht. Dat is precies waar we op hopen! En wat een slimme tip om een klein speakertje mee te nemen – dat gaan we zeker vaker aanraden. Fijn dat het eindpunt bij de Swinging Old Lady ook in de smaak viel. This was our first time doing a self guided tour with food, but once we worked out a couple of small kinks it was a great way to explore the Otrobanda area of Curaçao. The tour provided a lot of historical information and fun facts. I only wish that there would have been more information about the food stops. The stop at Miriam’s house was truly special and unique and most definitely something that we never would have discovered without the tour. All in all a great experience and worth $50pp.

The Culiwalk is fun, if everything goes well. I had booked for 3 people. Unfortunately, I didn't automatically get a confirmation, even in the spam. I texted the contact, who responded smoothly and told me to wait a while. After a few hours I texted again, then I received the email as still. I asked a question about the number of stops, they responded bits with: "if you read the mail correctly..." That was quite a blunt reaction. 1 code did not work, the second code sent by the contact person eventually worked. The first stop was nice, nice snack, nice location. The second stop was manually adjusted, we got there, and the snack bar was just closed. Unacceptable! The app does not work smoothly. One of us knows the area and on good luck we walked to stop 3 the bar. When we were almost there, the app responded again. Super nice reception. Then walked for stop 4 for a snack, after a little inquiry we found it. The neighborhood is nice, the idea is nice too. Customer service leaves something to be desired. Talked to via whatsapp in an unfriendly way. The contact person is in the Netherlands, was also appointed that it was already 00.30 in NL, but we as customers can not do anything about that of course. It was suggested that we do not understand because normally there are never any problems. The response to the app was quite smooth, but not in a nice way. A great pity! I therefore do not recommend this tour. Hopefully this company will do something about their communication skills. Snacks and drinks tasted fine and nicely served.
Bedankt voor uw bericht. Het klopt dat de locatie waar de 2e culinaire stop genuttigd kan worden niet geopend was. Ook al ligt het buiten onze invloed, we hebben ons uiterste best gedaan om te zorgen dat u hier zo min mogelijk hinder van zou ondervinden. Helaas heeft u er toch last van gehad en dat vinden we ontzettend vervelend. We gaan er dan ook alles aan doen om te kijken hoe we dit in de toekomst zouden kunnen voorkomen…”
Nice to discover Otrobanda at your own time and pace. The app turns on at the indicated locations and the info is interesting. Also feel a bit like a treasure hunt in which you are surprised. The locations and range of tastings is diverse and tasty or fun. I have been to Curaçao before and thought this was a really nice addition.

We loved this experience, We learned so much about all the history and buildings in this great neighborhood. Otrobanda is a Must See and we loved this tour, no groups nog guides but we were with our family. We loved the culinary bites. They where absolutely amazing. Starting at Ceviche to pick up a stam-card and all other stops where great. We also loved the local chef Myriam with her small kitchen . It was great to see all this great murals. Wow it was just an amazing experience. Really great if you want to try out something else. We never felt unsafe everybody is so friendly.

This was robbery, nothing explained and only the first place offered what they had .....this was not nice and the host were not hospitable
Dear Clarine, we are sorry to hear this. We always sent an instruction mail before the walk starts. Also we let the participants know how many people will be there that day. I cannot find your name in the list with bookings can you tell me what day you went and what was the name of the person that booked. Than we can see what went wrong and we can make the refund Have a great day.
