Anthony was an amazing tour guide. Lots of history, amazing story teller about the neighborhood, very animated, high energy, very engaging. Not a typical food tour, got to eat multiple courses of different, delicious Italian foods at only 4 locations. Come hungry Would highly recommend this tour.

From the minute we met our guide, Anthony, we knew we were going to have a fun evening. Anthony shared the history of the neighborhood, the immigrants to settle in Little Italy, and the foods we would sample. The tour was an easy walk on mostly flat surfaces. Anthony stopped, from time to time, to point out noteworthy sites and residents. And as we neared the various restaurants, he would talk of the various ingredients, their history and the regions they are made. The food was all delicious, there was plenty of it served family style. We sampled two appetizers, pasta, main dishes, salad and two desserts. At one restaurant we had an opportunity to experience a table-side demonstration of how to serve the dish properly as it has been since Roman times. My husband and I are very familiar with Italian foods being from New England where many Italian immigrants also settled. We were pleasantly surprised to taste several dishes we’ve never had before. I’m excited to take what I’ve learned and share it with our family and friends when we return home. I highly recommend this tour and suggest asking for Anthony; what an evening you will have with him. You won’t be disappointed.

Anthony was an amazing guide. Made you feel like part of the family and it was really wonderful seeing him in his community. The food and service at all the stops was top notch.

A fun evening in Little Italy was filled with great food offerings presented to the group by our guide Anthony. Not a noodle was served. Each stop had a dish or 3 with a rich history from its origination and the memories/traditions the Italian community associated it with. Our guide Anthony showed by example that the neighborhood is no "gimmick" often introducing owners, cooks, and neighborhood icons speaking Italian and giving us a brief history of each person's journey to America from Europe, and the dreams they are putting forth in San Diego. The tour went at a leisurely pace, allowing us ample time to eat, drink, and converse.

Anthony was so personable and authentic, which truly made it a one of a kind experience! We loved all of the history he taught us and how he went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. This is such a great way to meet people, try various unique foods in a smaller portion, and it includes a nice stroll in between stops to help you digest! Whether you are local to San Diego or a tourist visiting the city, everyone has something to gain from Anthony’s tour. Highly recommend!

This was one of the highlights of my trip to San Diego! Our guide was the owner, and he did a fantastic job combining delicious Italian food tastings with the history of Little Italy. We learned about the neighborhood, saw historic buildings, and heard the stories behind the foods we sampled. The 3.5 hours flew by. Highly recommend!

The food was wonderful. The opportunity to learn about the history of Little Italy in San Diego was a wonderful treat. We had a wonderful time and we are so glad we joined.

This food tour combines excellent food with a history of the neighborhood and the evolution of each dish. It truly brings out the best in the food through its history and its modern day twists. Anthony is very attentive to make each guest feel looked after and his enthusiasm for his heritage, the neighborhood and the shop/restaurant owners is a tribute. I highly recommend this!

The Little Italy tour was absolutely wonderful. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the neighborhood come alive with the history, stories, and little details you’d never discover on your own. The food was excellent, but honestly, the stories were even better. I genuinely had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Diego.
