Itinerario
Iniziamo il nostro viaggio con un assaggio di chorreadas, una tradizionale tortilla "versata" di mais costaricano servita fresca da un venditore ambulante. È la perfetta introduzione ai sapori della regione.
La nostra prossima tappa presenta l'iconica caldasa, una miscela unica di croccanti patatine di mais condite con ceviche costaricano. Questo classico piatto di strada è un must-provare!
Ammira la bellezza di Jacó mentre passeggiamo lungo la spiaggia, ammirando i vivaci murales e l'arte pubblica della zona. Questa sosta ci permette di immergerci nel paesaggio naturale e culturale.
Il giovedì visiteremo il mercato contadino locale, dove potrai esplorare prodotti freschi, prodotti artigianali e la vivace atmosfera della vita comunitaria di Jacó.
Dopo la passeggiata ci fermeremo su un altro venditore per gustare un chiliguaro, un fuocoso scatto costaricano fatto con chiaro di luna locale, cileno e Tabasco.
Rilassatevi in un incantevole ristorante sulla spiaggia di proprietà locale. Qui, assaporeremo bevande rinfrescanti e piatti a base di pesce preparati con il pescato locale più fresco.
Per coloro che non ne hanno mai abbastanza di questa audace bevanda costaricana, faremo una seconda sosta per un tocco diverso sul chiliguaro.
In un bar locale preferito, sorseggeremo una classica Michelada, una bevanda rinfrescante a base di birra, e gusteremo un sostanzioso chifrijo, un gustoso mix di chicharrones (maiale croccante) e frijoles (fagioli).
Concludiamo con una nota dolce con una visita a un amato venditore di dolci per Churchill, un gelato costaricano con strati di latte condensato, ghiaccio tritato e guarnizioni di frutta.
Durante il tour, condividerò approfondimenti sulla geografia, la storia, la cultura e l'arte di Jacó, nonché aneddoti personali e storie sulla città. Great tour to good food spots I probably wouldn’t have gone on my own. It inadvertently ended up being a private tour, and Josue was great at telling me not only more about Jack but Costa Rica in general. Despite it being just the two of us, I had a great time and learned a lot. Would recommend for solo travelers and groups alike.
Josue was great and very knowledgeable of the history and foods. Took us on a great tour with great food! Definitely recommend doing at the beginning of your trip so you know all the good places. 10/10
I had an amazing experience on this food tour with Josué! The food, drinks, and desserts were all fantastic - every stop was a treat. What really set this tour apart was the historical perspective Josué wove into the experience. Learning the stories behind the food and the culture made every bite more meaningful. We had a wonderful time on the Costa Rica food tour with Josue. He went above and beyond with showing us some of the best food spots in Jaco but also with being extremely knowledgeable about the culture, history, animals, and any questions we had about the country in general. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting town. The only regrettable part was that we did this tour on our last day and he gave so many local food recommendations that we will have to save for next trip!
Let me start off by saying my tour guide Josue was the best. He was very pleasant, funny and knowledgable. He convinced me to drink beer which I hate! He was delightful and easy to talk to. He told me about the many murals that are painted around town including the one of the direct descendant of Pastor Diaz. The tour itself is ideal especially if you're open to trying new foods. I had caldosas at Picarita's, patacones, which are DELICIOUS (can't remember the name of the place) and beer randon at Amudio's and a Winston Churchill! This is a walking tour so be advised if you have any conditions.

I had a really great time on the Jacó Food Tour with Josue. He was on time, super knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. You can tell he knows the area really well, and I learned a lot about Jacó while trying some really good local food. I liked that it wasn’t just about the food, it was also a walking tour around downtown. He pointed out different places around town, shared local recommendations, and we even stopped in a souvenir shop, which was a nice little addition. We also ended the tour with dessert, which I wasn’t expecting and thought was a fun surprise. The whole experience felt like a great value for the price. There was plenty of food, and I left feeling like I got to experience much more of Jacó than I would have if I had explored on my own. I was traveling solo from the U.S. and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Josue was friendly, laid-back, professional, and made the tour feel really easy and enjoyable. I had such a wonderful with the guide Josue. He is very knowledgeable of local Jaco history, culture and the food. I learned so much about the cuisine and history while i was on this food tour with Josue. The foods are so tasty as well! I won’t be able to discovery those dishes on my own if it’s not for Josue. Josue is very friendly and approachable. I can tell he really enjoys touring and guiding people and teaching Jaco history. The portion of the food/drinks are perfect. Highly recommend this if you are in Jaco. Come hungry!
