They should explain better in the description that it is not a guided tour, but a transfer service with a driver to the points of interest. Once there, they offer you optional activities such as horseback riding, ATV, cable car, etc. It is not a guided tour with a guide. The driver takes you and drops you off at the points of interest. It is possibly more economical to hire a Yandex or taxi to do this tour.
This was a poor tour. Bax our guide started the day by borrowing money from us to fill the car with fuel. He did not explain the itinerary for the day. When we arrived at the first stop (Chimgan Mountains and Amirsoy Mountains) Bax did not give a time limit to return. The mountains were spectacular and we enjoyed our time there. Bax did check in with me via WhatsApp to make sure all was ok. At the second stop Bax left us to go up the mountain using the chair lift. When we had finished Bax was not where he had said he would be. So we returned to the car and found him asleep. Our last stop was the Charvak Reservoir. This was disappointing. On the way back to Tashkent the car ran out of petrol. Bax left us in the car on a very busy dual carriageway whilst he went to get petrol. He returned with 3 coke bottles filled with petrol. Once he had put the petrol in the car he disposed of the empty bottles on the side of the road. Bax also asked for payment for the tour. We did not pay as we had already paid Viatour. I messaged Viatour to report being stranded. Disappointingly I did not hear anything back. This leads me to question Viatours commitment towards my safety and would stop me from booking another tour.
A must-do for nature lovers! Each stop is well-paced, allowing you to fully appreciate the surroundings. It offers a unique landscape far different from the city or ruins. The guide’s hospitality was amazing, from the smooth pickup coordination to the thoughtful follow-up with photos.
Mr Asilbek was our tour guide for the day. He was very friendly and kind. Always making sure we were comfortable and stopping along the way for snacks. He also helped us communicate with local vendors and get good deals on local specialities. Overall it was a very enjoyable and comfortable trip with him.
Never ever skip the top of the cable car ride. Stunning view!!!!! The lake as well was superrrrrr!!!
A peaceful winter escape in the mountains Our stay at Amirsoy Chalet was one of the highlights of our Uzbekistan trip. The resort is beautifully located in the mountains, surrounded by snow and fresh air. Waking up to the white landscape and quiet atmosphere was truly refreshing. The chalet was clean, warm, and well maintained. Even in cold weather, the heating worked perfectly and made the stay very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was satisfying with a good selection to start the day before heading to the slopes or cable car. The cable car ride offered stunning panoramic views of the mountains, and the resort facilities were organized and modern. Even if you are not skiing, the snow experience and scenic views make it worth visiting. Overall, Amirsoy Chalet is ideal for travelers who want a mix of comfort, nature, and winter adventure. I would definitely recommend it for couples, families, and groups looking for a relaxing mountain getaway.
The trip was genuinely great. We had a fun group of people and our guide Shajahan was great and interactive. He told us so much about the history and culture and also suggested us a lot of activities
