Beitou Hot Spring Museum (chiuso il lunedì) Durata : ~ 1 ora Beitou Hot Spring Museum : Iniziate la giornata con una visita a questo sito storico, che era uno stabilimento balneare pubblico durante il periodo coloniale Giapponese. Scopri la storia e la cultura delle sorgenti termali di Taiwan qui.
Valle Termale : (chiusa il lunedì) Conosciuta anche come "Valle Infernale", questa sorgente termale naturale è una delle sorgenti delle sorgenti termali di Beitou. Ammira il vapore che sale dall'acqua verde smeraldo, creando un'atmosfera unica e mistica.
Parco nazionale di Yangmingshan (prateria di Qingtiangang, sentiero di Lengshuikeng, Xiaoyoukeng) Durata: ~3,5 ore Il parco nazionale di Yangmingshan si trova a nord di Beitou. Yangmingshan era chiamata Caoshan (montagna d'erba) durante l'occupazione giapponese di Taiwan, perché era ricoperta di erba e raramente visitata. Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, il governo del KMT ribattezzò la montagna Yangmingshan e vi costruì un parco. Il parco nazionale di Yangmingshan è l'unico parco di Taiwan ad avere una geografia vulcanica e sorgenti termali. Si trova accanto al monte Shamao e al monte Qixing con il monte Datun sulla destra e il monte Guanyin di fronte.
Qingtiangang Grassland: un luogo panoramico noto per le sue ampie pianure erbose e il pascolo del bestiame. Perfetto per una piacevole passeggiata con viste mozzafiato sulle montagne.
Lengshuikeng Trail: un sentiero relativamente facile che ti porta attraverso aree geotermiche con corsi d'acqua di sorgenti calde. È noto per l'acqua di sorgente più fresca.
Xiaoyoukeng: questa zona mette in mostra l'attività vulcanica di Yangmingshan. Troverai fumarole (sfiati di vapore), cristalli di zolfo e pozze di fango bollente.

Fisherman’s Wharf: noto per i suoi pittoreschi tramonti, il molo ospita il Lover's Bridge, un ponte sospeso bianco che si illumina magnificamente di notte.
Tamsui Old Street: una strada trafficata piena di snack tradizionali taiwanesi, cibo da strada e negozi di souvenir. Goditi una piacevole passeggiata e prova snack famosi come le uova di ferro e la zuppa di polpette di pesce.

This was such a fantastic day trip where we really got to enjoy some of Taiwan’s nature. The highlight was the circular trail at Yangmingshan Grassland. The thermal valley and Tamsui were also lovely. All in all a great day and thanks to our driver Tony, he was excellent.

We enjoyed the tour very much as we got to see natural wonders of Taiwan. We had a 13 year old in our group and he also appreciated the tour. Kidd was our driver and he was very helpful and happy to tell us about the sites, even if at times we had to use a translator app due to his limited English. Just the same, we truly enjoyed our day tour with him!

Overall it was an amazing tour! The beauty of Taiwan’s countryside was just breathtaking. Kidd was our guide. He was very friendly and helpful to us, though for long conversations, we had to use (Google?) translator. But nevertheless, we really had one great day enjoyinh Taiwan’s nature places.

Our private driver Charlie was very flexible and polite. He spoke limited English and all communication was via translation apps (so not very much explanation of the locations or history, and more like hiring a private driver). He was punctual, very polite and accommodating and an extremely safe driver. Overall a good experience.
