La tua avventura a Table Mountain inizia alla stazione della funivia inferiore, dove ti unirai a una breve coda per la funivia rotante. In soli 5 minuti, la funivia sale in cima, offrendo incredibili viste a 360° durante la corsa. Sulla vetta, avrai il tempo di esplorare la montagna dalla cima piatta, con le sue viste mozzafiato su Città del Capo, Robben Island, i Dodici Apostoli e persino Cape Point nelle giornate limpide. Ci sono tre sentieri ben segnalati in cima, che soddisfano diversi livelli di fitness e interessi: • Dassie Walk – Una passeggiata dolce con ottimi punti panoramici. • Sentiero di Agnas – Un percorso leggermente più lungo con una vista mozzafiato sulla città. • Sentiero del Klantzkloof – Per i più avventurosi, che conduce verso il retro della montagna. Potrete anche rilassarvi presso la caffetteria in cima alla montagna, che serve cibi freschi, caffè, vino e spuntini leggeri, perfetti per gustare un pasto con vista.
Inizia il tuo viaggio verso uno dei siti storici più iconici del Sudafrica al Nelson Mandela Gateway presso il V&A Waterfront, dove salirai a bordo di un traghetto per Robben Island. Il giro in barca offre splendide viste su Table Bay e Città del Capo. Dopo lo sbarco al Murray’s Bay Harbour, farai una breve passeggiata accanto a edifici storici e un alto muro costruito dai prigionieri negli anni ’60. Salirai quindi a bordo di un autobus per un tour guidato intorno all'isola, guidato da guide esperte di Robben Island. Questo tour profondamente commovente include siti chiave come il cimitero della lebbra, cave di calce e bluestone, la casa di Robert Sobukwe, bunker militari e la famigerata prigione di massima sicurezza. Did the full day with Robben Island first. The guide’s personal stories about the prison and the quarry really stayed with me. Then heading up Table Mountain later felt like a beautiful balance. The summit was stunning …clear skies, strong wind, and views that stretch for miles. It’s not an easy day emotionally, but the mix of reflection and natural beauty made it very special.

The morning on Robben Island was intense but so worth it. The ex-prisoner guide had us laughing at some unexpected moments while showing us the cells and talking about daily life there. We started with Robben Island in the morning and I’m still thinking about it. The ex-prisoner guide was amazing he showed us Mandela’s cell and the lime quarry, sharing stories that were tough but told with so much warmth and the occasional joke that made the group smile. We did the Robben Island and Table Mountain combo and it was honestly one of the most memorable days of our trip. The morning on Robben Island was powerful our ex-prisoner guide showed us Mandela’s cell and the lime quarry, sharing stories with such honesty and the occasional witty comment that made the heavy history easier to take in. In the afternoon we went up Table Mountain and the views from the flat top were absolutely breathtaking you could see the whole city, ocean, and mountains stretching out forever. What a full-on day! Robben Island in the morning was intense and eye-opening , the guide’s personal stories about the quarry and cells really stayed with me. Morning pickup from the Radisson RED and straight into an intense but amazing Robben Island tour. The ex-prisoner guide had us laughing one minute and completely silent the next while walking through the prison blocks. Then in the afternoon we headed to Table Mountain. Standing on that massive flat summit with the wind blowing and views in every direction after the morning’s reality check felt surreal. My brain kept saying “how is this the same day?” 😂 Definitely recommend this combo.
