Alla nostra prima sosta gastronomica, ci immergeremo nei più autentici cibi di strada locali, circondati dall'atmosfera storica del Tempio di Apollo. Assaporerai gli arancini, le famose palline di riso farcite con una varietà di ingredienti come carne, prosciutto cotto, spinaci, pistacchi o melanzane, fritte alla perfezione per un vero assaggio della tradizione siciliana. In estate, si può anche gustare un cono di pesce fritto, riempito con una selezione di pesce fresco pescato proprio quel giorno. Con le antiche colonne del Tempio di Apollo a fare da sfondo e la vivace energia delle strade di Ortigia tutt’intorno, assaggiare queste specialità locali diventa una perfetta miscela di storia, cultura e sapore.
Successivamente, avremo la possibilità di assaggiare l’impanata siciliana, una specialità artigianale tradizionale. Questo calzone dorato di forma ovale può essere riempito con salsa di pomodoro, verdure, carne, formaggio, patate e salsiccia, o anche gamberetti e olive nere, offrendo una ricca esplosione di sapori audaci. Gustarsela in Piazza Archimede, circondati dalla grandiosità dei palazzi storici e dalla vivace energia dei locali e dei visitatori, trasforma questa degustazione in più di un pasto, è un vero assaggio del cuore culinario e culturale di Siracusa.
Per poi andare ad assaggiare alcuni prodotti locali: lungo un tour dell'antico mercato di Siracusa con degustazione di paninetti con formaggi e salumi di produzione locale.
Gusteremo anche alcuni dolci locali e rinfrescanti nel cuore del centro storico di Siracusa. La granita siciliana è perfetta per rilassarsi e rinfrescarsi in un caldo pomeriggio estivo. Brenda was a wonderful guide! She’s very knowledgeable on the history of Ortigia which we loved learning about. Ortigia is one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited in Europe and Brenda made it a very enjoyable tour for my family.
This was a fantastic experience - Giuseppe was a brilliant guide to Ortigia and his passion for the city and Sicily made it special. Every food stop involved something we loved but wouldn’t have tried if we were just wandering tourists. It had made us enjoy the rest of the trip more as we have been bolder in exploring the island.
Maria is a local with so much local knowledge and spirit it was a charming deep dive into both the recent and ancient history of the tiny island. She steered us to the best food and neighborhoods. She is a delight!!!
Excellent Ortigia food tour, great variety of foods, best Panini we've ever had! It wasn't just a food tour, it was also a walking tour of the town, with information about so many local sites. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, thank you IRYNA!! Highly recommend!!
Brenda was a superb guide! Very friendly and easy to chat with. My 23 year old daughter and I really loved the tour! Aside from tasting fabulous food, we also really enjoyed how Brenda shared information throughout the tour. She’s got a fantastic knowledge of the history of the area, and shares it in a great way.. just the right amount of info so you are not deluged with too many details but you get a good understanding of key highlights. This food tasting tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Ortigia. Thank you!

Giuseppe was a fantastic host for this food tour. Come hungry, the food offerings were excellent and plentiful with funs bits of information and history along the way. A great way to explore Ortigia with a fun guide who always carried a smile. Don't forget to come hungry! Highly recommend.
Our tour with Giuseppe was fantastic! We walked around in the heart of Ortigia, learning about the history of the place, eating the delicious local food and sampling some wine as we went! There were savoury and sweet stops on our tour which were perfectly timed and all the flavours were so fresh and delicious- it was the best way to spend the day exploring a new city! Giuseppe also gave us local tips for things to do, other foods to eat and restaurants to visit! Thanks so much!
Giuseppe was amazing! He is clearly passionate and excited to share Syracuse and Ortigia! Our group moved easily through the streets and all was set up for us at our stops. This tour would not have been the same with a different guide! I would absolutely have another tour with him on our next trip to the area!
