Iniziamo presto, lasciandoci alle spalle la bellissima città di Sydney mentre ci dirigiamo verso ovest. Circa 40 minuti dopo arriviamo alla nostra prima fermata: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. Questa è la casa della più grande collezione di animali nativi australiani al mondo, con oltre 2.000 animali sul sito. Featherdale è rinomata per i suoi incontri ravvicinati con la fauna selvatica. Qui, puoi nutrire a mano i simpatici canguri, scattare una foto professionale con un simpatico e amabile Koala, scattare un selfie con "l'animale più felice della terra" il Quokka e incontrare Wombat, Diavoli della Tasmania e altro ancora. Vedrai anche i colori vivaci della fauna nativa australiana, tra cui Emus, Cassowaries e Kookaburras che ridono. Per coloro che sono entusiasti di esplorare il lato più selvaggio dell'Australia, sono in mostra anche alcune delle creature più famose del paese come Dingo, Coccodrilli, Serpenti e Ragni.
Un momento clou della giornata è la nostra visita alle cascate di Wentworth, una delle cascate più impressionanti della regione. Le cascate precipitano per quasi 300 metri in totale, rendendole tra le più alte delle Blue Mountains e un vero e proprio punto di forza del tour. Wentworth Falls è famosa per la sua passeggiata sotto la scogliera, un sentiero riparato e panoramico che si snoda sotto imponenti strapiombi di arenaria lungo la Jamison Valley. È considerata una delle passeggiate più belle delle Blue Mountains, che offre prospettive drammatiche e panorami in continuo cambiamento. Nelle giornate limpide, i belvedere offrono panorami ampi che si estendono per oltre 50 chilometri sulla valle. Bushwalking è una classica esperienza australiana, e ci sono diverse opzioni di camminare qui per soddisfare diversi livelli di energia. Si prega di notare che la zona comprende scale e, come dice il detto, ciò che scende deve tornare su. Ma lo sforzo vale la pena, soprattutto con il pranzo in attesa alla nostra prossima fermata.
Visitiamo poi il villaggio di Leura, ampiamente considerato come il villaggio più bello delle Blue Mountains. Godetevi il tempo libero per pranzare in una delle numerose caffetterie, pasticcerie o sale da tè, curiosare tra boutique e librerie, o semplicemente passeggiare e immergersi nei tranquilli dintorni di montagna.
Il pomeriggio vi porta a Echo Point, il punto panoramico più famoso delle Blue Mountains. Godetevi la luce dorata che illumina le Three Sisters e getta una suggestiva foschia blu sulla valle.
Prima di tornare a Sydney, sgranchisci le gambe al Cahill’s Lookout e al Boars Head, due viste finali mozzafiato sulla megalong valley per concludere la giornata. Goditi la flessibilità di personalizzare le tue soste e rendere questo tour davvero tuo.

Great experience in the Blue Mountains. Very nice hike. Small group. Wonderful informative guide. Well timed stops.
Misty hike, might suggest hiking boots, but definitely doable. Wonderful vistas. Mark was an awesome host and guide. Name that tune-Aussie style was so much fun.
Mark was our guide. It was a true small group tour in a very comfortable van that was very clean and had great visibility. I am a big guy (well over 6 foot and not skinny) so van space is important to me on tours. The tour was over 9 hours, but the time flew by. The bushwalk was a highlight especially accented by Mark’s knowledge of the flora and fauna. We really enjoyed the time at the wildlife sanctuary and would love to have spent more time there, but all in all our time was managed very well. Mark’s audio commentary was excellent in the van and the sound system performed nicely which tends to be a problem on many tours we go on. We learned a lot about Australia. The bushwalk registered 17 flights and some 10,000 steps on my Apple Watch. The views were breathtaking and well worth the hike. We had perfect weather in mid April. We were in Sydney on a cruise ship stop for the day. We had complications due to customs, but the communication and accommodation by the company were excellent in arranging our pick up and drop off. BTW. The lunch was great and we appreciated the recommendations and suggestions from Mark as to what was available. We have no negative feedback whatsoever for this experience and would wholeheartedly recommend you go with them.

Amazing guide. Mark made the trip. He modified the walking to fit my wife’s knee while also showing us everything and challenging the rest of us to get some amazing views. His knowledge was deep and varied to make the day informative and entertaining. We did Australian music trivia on the drive back which made the time fly by. Probably the best tour guide we have had in any country we have used Viator in.

This tour was the perfect mix of the Blue Mountains. Craig was a great guide and communication pretour was perfect. Pickup was on time. I enjoyed the Featherdale Wildlife park. We arrived before the big buses and I felt like we had plenty of time to see everything. The walk to Wentworth Falls was awesome. We were given a choice on the way back(one way was easier than the other). The weather was perfect while we were at Echo point.. and the views did not disappoint.

Sights were amazing, and seeing animals at wildlife park was fun. Lunch stop was charming. Mark our guide/driver was fantastic guiding us along the day and a fountainof information; he made it fun and was personable. Well managed time, we spent the perfect amount at each stop. Must do tour!

I chose this tour with Sydney Adventure Tours on the recommendation by my sister Ann who had come last year and also the reviews. Our guide Mark was fun to be with, knowledgeable, entertaining, observant and caring for our safety. Our group totalled 5 and we all got along well. Our stops were great, his recommendations for restaurants were really good and his timing at each spot was great. We were very lucky weather wise as we were supposed to have rain but it held off until the very end of the day. On the way back to Sidney Mark played us music composed, written and sung by Australian singers and musicians. A lot of fun to hear them and learning about the artists. Robert and I highly recommend this tour and ask for Mark!

Even thought we had a drizzly day, we were able to hike and visit all of the sights. Mark was our tour guide and he was excellent - very knowledgeable and very entertaining! It was a great day & I would highly recommend!
