We enjoyed a relaxing evening sampling different wines, spritzers and cicchetti at various little bacari. It was a fun experience but not that filling. We were still a little hungry at the end but it was great to eat at quiet places away from the crowds.
Thank you for your lovely review! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and discovered authentic bacari away from the busiest tourist areas. This experience is designed as a journey through Venetian food culture, with a selection of cicchetti paired with local wines and spritz rather than a full dinner. I'm glad you appreciated the authentic flavors and hidden locations, and I hope to welcome you back to Venice for another culinary adventure soon! 🍷😊
We had an absolutely amazing time touring Venice and tasting the local cuisine. Can’t recommend it enough for those who want to get out of the touristy areas
Thank you so much for your kind words! 🌟 I’m really glad you enjoyed exploring Venice’s nightlife and tasting authentic cicchetti away from the crowded areas. It was a pleasure sharing these local spots with you, and I hope the memories (and flavors!) will bring you back to Venice again someday. A presto, Valerio deTourist
Great Tour, also in perfect german language. Funny, interesting and with many little stories about Venice and its history. We also found a lot of hidden places offside San Marco & the tourists.
thank you so much for your kind words! I’m very happy you enjoyed the tour, the stories, and discovering those hidden corners of Venice away from the crowds. I’m glad you also appreciated the tour in German – it was a real pleasure guiding you. Hope to see you again on your next visit to Venice! Best regards, Valerio
Who would have thought it? We have the Austrians to thank for the Spritz. You gain insights like this when you go bar-hopping with Valerio. A really enjoyable tour. Seven of us went from Canareggio to the Rialto Bridge and gathered impressions of the diversity of Venice. Of course, every aperitivo has its story and there is something to tell about every cicchetto. Valerio speaks perfect German and English and is an absolute Venice insider. Highly recommended.
Valerio
2 hours and not enough with Valerio because he has so many things and stories to recount. And very very funny. It was the second time with him and certainly not the last.
Grazie mille, Anke! Valerio
Fantastic! Valerio knows how to give a slightly different impression of this great city - away from the tourist routes. You get an impression of how the Venetians live and Valerio gives lots of little details about the city. We went to different bars - each one unique and with lots of flair! Of course we tried cicchetti and got lots of tips for bars and restaurants! If you are visiting Venice for the first time, you are in great hands with Valerio, but we can also highly recommend his tours to those who have been there several times! It's worth it!
This personal tour can really only be recommended! We were allowed to spend a nice evening with Valerio as a whole family with delicious aperitites and small snacks. On the way to the beautiful little bars that we would not have found on our own, Valerio told us a few details about the beautiful city of Venice. The mood was super casual and insanely humorous. As a small highlight we also crossed Donna Leon personally on our tour. Thank you for the lovely experience! I would love to come back:)
Great tour! It was a fantastic way to get off the beaten path and try some more authentic Venetian foods and drinks that I wouldn’t necessarily have tried on my own (but liked!). Our guide was awesome and even provided a few great restaurant recs that were the best meals we had on our trip! I’d highly recommend—just make sure to read the fine print—not all drinks at each stop are included, which was fine but I’d glossed over when I booked.
Valerio's tour was amazing, We booked with him for the first night we arrived in Venice so that we could be shown the Hiden gems of the city that you wouldn't normally find as a tourist. Valerio was chatty, personable and spoken fluent English which made it easy to ask questions when walking around the winding side streets. This combined with his outstanding knowledge of venitian history made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. Before meeting, he messaged and arranged a spot to meet along with providing a list of restaurants that he would recommend within the city. During our tour he even phoned and booked at his number one recommendation for us which we have eaten at this evening. The restaurant was outstanding, tucked away in a secluded courtyard its certainly something that we couldn't have located without his recommendation. I will be passing his details to any family or friends that come to visit this beautiful city and would recommend Valerio to anyone!
We had a very individual and not typical tourist guide. It took place even though we were probably the only participants because of bad weather announcement. Thanks again for Valerio.
