Wendy communicated directly with us prior to the tour to make sure we knew what to expect and where to meet. It was 103 degrees and Wendy ensured we took shaded routes and structured our tour for air conditioned stops. She engaged my 4 and 7 year old and kept them interested. “Learned a lot (said by my husband, a history major)!”
Wendy was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and interactive with the kids. She also made it fun for the adults.
Wendy was amazing with all the kids. Our small kids thought it was so fun and our oldest kids were so excited to answer questions. They all learned so much and had a great time. Excellent tour guide.
Tour content was perfect for our 7 year old. Pace and information was great. Wendy was a lot of fun and the kids (and adults) learned a lot.
So much fun! We loved the information and seeing the city. Wendy is very kind and knows her history!
Liked having a tour that is geared to kids. My grandson (6 years old) was engaged with our tour director Wendy for the whole tour. The timing (1 1/2 hr) was perfect length.
Wendy tuned into the children in the group and adjusted the conversation and facts to their level of learning. The day was really hot and humid and Wendy tried to keep us in shady spots along the way.
Our 8 &10 year old grandsons could't wait to fill in their parents on everything they saw and learned. The 4th grader just finished studying the American Revolution so had answers handy but Wendy was so good at engaging and encouraging the younger one who had little knowledge beforehand. I'm a suburbanite who, nonetheless, knows the city and its history well but Wendy still had me hooked with so much new information. You won't find a more patient, kind and knowledgeable guide for you or your kids in this city or any other.
My daughter and I had Wendy as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and spoke to the kids in our group at their pace. The kids had lots of fun questions and Wendy was able to answer each one at their level. Everyone one learned something new and had a great time.
I went with two other families with a total of ten or eleven kids. We toured with Wendy, who was dressed in a delightful period costume and kept the kids engaged the entire time. We saw things I've never seen in Philly before; most of what she showed us was new to me. Great experience!
