Le due attrazioni da non perdere a Stoccolma sono la Città Vecchia (Gamla Stan) e il Museo Vasa. Pochi turisti lasciano Stoccolma senza visitare queste due attrazioni! Questo tour, che inizia alla stazione della metropolitana Gamla Stan, combina queste due principali attrazioni! Durante la passeggiata vi racconteremo la storia di Stoccolma e della Svezia. Ciò include il periodo in cui la Svezia era una delle più grandi potenze in Europa e fu costruita la nave Vasa. Inizieremo la nostra passeggiata a Riddarholmen con una bellissima vista sul lago Mälaren e sul municipio. Passeremo davanti alla Casa della Nobiltà, all'edificio del Parlamento, al Palazzo Reale e allo Stortorget nel centro storico. Poi prenderemo il traghetto "Djurgårdsfärjan", un viaggio di 10 minuti a Djurgården, dove si trova il Museo Vasa. Nel museo, ti racconteremo la storia sorprendente di come una delle navi da guerra più moderne del mondo si è capovolta dopo soli 1300 metri di navigazione! Iniziamo il tour alla stazione della metropolitana di Gamla Stan, dentro / sotto terra, di fronte al chiosco Pressbyrån. Parliamo della storia antica di Stoccolma e della Svezia, dall'era glaciale fino ai primi insediamenti sulle isole. Da Riddarholmen (The Knights Island) abbiamo una bellissima vista sul lago Mälaren e sul Municipio, il famoso punto di riferimento di Stoccolma,
La storia continua ... Fuori dalla chiesa di Riddarholmen incontreremo il presunto fondatore di Stoccolma, Birger Jarl, o almeno una sua statua. Il 1252 è l'anno in cui "Stoccolma" è stata menzionata per la prima volta in un testo scritto che è conservato fino ad oggi. Birger Jarl ha firmato il giornale ...
Ci fermiamo fuori da Riddarhuset, la casa della nobiltà, e guardiamo la statua di Gustav Vasa, "il padre della Svezia". Da quando Gustav Vasa 1523 marciò a Stoccolma, la Svezia è stata uno stato sovrano, mai occupato da potenze straniere. Gustav, dopo che suo padre e tra 80 e 100 altri nobili furono uccisi in "Il bagno di sangue di Stoccolma", organizzò una rivolta contro il nostro vicino meridionale che aveva preso il controllo della Svezia. Ha anche cambiato la religione in Svezia dal cattolicesimo al protestantesimo luterano
Prossima fermata al Palazzo Reale. Entreremo nel cortile esterno e vedremo le guardie, spesso vestite con eleganti uniformi dei giorni passati. Visiteremo anche "Slottsbacken" con una bellissima vista sul porto interno di Stoccolma.
La statua più piccola e più bella della Svezia!
Il Museo Nobel Price si trova a Stortorget. Le Accademie Reali svedesi designano i vincitori dei prezzi più prestigiosi in molti importanti campi della scienza e dell'arte.
Sotto la statua di Carl XIV Johan continuiamo la storia della Svezia. Questo re, il primo dei Bernadotte, fu importato in Svezia dalla Francia all'inizio del XIX secolo per riconquistare ciò che persero contro i russi. Invece mise i suoi sforzi sulla diplomazia, costruendo infrastrutture e sviluppando l'educazione! Nel 2014 sono stati celebrati 200 anni di pace in Svezia. La rivoluzione industriale, le risorse naturali e le grandi invenzioni svedesi hanno creato una base per uno stato sociale, e diversi imprenditori hanno continuato lo sviluppo nel XX e nel XXI secolo. !
Da Skeppsbron prenderemo il traghetto "Djurgårdsfärjan" per Djurgården. È ora di riposare :) (Questo è un tour a piedi; nella Città Vecchia camminiamo per circa 1 miglio e, dopo la gita in barca, altri 0,5 miglia fino al Museo Vasa. Quindi, in totale, circa 1,5 miglia (circa 2,4 km ) Ma camminiamo a passo lento e ci fermiamo in diversi siti, scattiamo foto, ecc., e siamo aperti ad aggiustamenti di ritmo.)
L'ingresso al museo Vasa è incluso. La nostra guida ti mostrerà la nave e ti racconterà la straordinaria storia di come la Vasa si è capovolta e poi è stata recuperata più di 300 anni dopo! Questa è la fine della visita guidata, ma sei il benvenuto al museo dopo che la visita è terminata. (Se hai tempo, perché non rimanere sull'isola di Djurgården anche nel pomeriggio, visita il Museo Abba ("entra, balla fuori"), il Museo vichingo, il parco divertimenti Gröna Lund o Skansen. We learned so much about the history, people and architecture as we walked through! Natalie was wonderful as our guide! She helped us cover so much more ground than we could on our own, and understand what we were looking at. This tour helped us appreciate Stockholm even more than we did before we arrived. After three hours of the walking part, we ended at the Vasa museum to navigate that at our own pace. I would say including the Vasa museum, the whole tour was more like at least four hours (depending on how long you want to stay at the museum). 10/10 would absolutely recommend this tour! It was fun and we learned so much :).
Our guide Natalie was very informative and sincere. Only constructive feedback is that the meeting place was not the easiest to find. This was a new country to navigate and meeting in an underground rail station was not waxy to find. Loved the vasser museum. Fascinating

We covered a lot of ground, our guide was knowledgeable and answered every question well. A lot better than the average walking tour of a city. The Vasa museum was unlike anything you likely will ever see, the useless (albeit attractive) ornamentation on a warship speaks to a different era of wartime. Would recommend this tour to anyone with limited time in Stockholm who is looking for a good overview.

Informative and nice overview of town center and Vasa, which was at the end of the tour and we stayed another hour and walked to ship along the water.

Informative walking tour of the history of Stockholm starting at the Baltic Sea & winding thru the city into Old Town. Our guide pointed out buildings & areas of historic significance adding significant facts to the story of Stockholm’s history. The Vaser Museum was outstanding.
