Wat Ban Den, precedentemente noto come Wat Ribunrueang, è uno dei templi più straordinari di Chiang Mai e anche uno dei complessi di templi più grandi della provincia di Chiang Mai. Quando Wat Ban Den ottenne un nuovo abate nel 1988, il tempio era in pessime condizioni. Il nuovo abate ha ricevuto numerose donazioni dalla popolazione locale e dai buddisti di tutto il Paese. Con queste donazioni il tempio è stato completamente rinnovato e sono state aggiunte una serie di imponenti strutture. Sebbene le strutture del tempio siano relativamente nuove, sono costruite in stile architettonico tradizionale. Potrai ammirare i dettagli della storica arte religiosa Lanna, un Buddha disteso e dei Buddha seduti, e rendere omaggio ai 12 animali dello zodiaco cinese. Apprezzerai senza dubbio la bellezza, la serenità e il pezzo di questo meraviglioso sito. La durata totale include il tempo di viaggio da Chiang Mai a Wat Ban Den.
La diga e il bacino idrico di Mae Ngat si trovano sul lato occidentale del Parco Nazionale di Si Lanna e offrono una fuga tranquilla e pittoresca dal trambusto della città. La diga di Mae Ngat è stata costruita negli anni '80 per fornire irrigazione all'agricoltura nel bacino circostante di Mae Ngat. Da allora il pacifico santuario è diventato molto popolare tra la gente del posto e i viaggiatori di Chiang Mai che vogliono fuggire dalla città e addentrarsi nella meravigliosa natura del nord della Thailandia. Il lago serenamente bello è circondato da dolci colline e da una vegetazione lussureggiante. Saliremo a bordo di una barca e godremo il bellissimo lago serenamente dall'acqua.
A circa un'ora dalla città di Chiang Mai si trovano le cascate Bua Thong, conosciute anche come cascate appiccicose. In tailandese chiamate Nam Phu Chet Si, le splendide cascate calcaree a più livelli si trovano nel Parco Nazionale Si Lanna, un luogo tranquillo e rilassante con foreste incontaminate. Ciò che rende uniche queste cascate è che le rocce sono appiccicose e facili da scalare. Alimentati da sorgenti ricche di calcio, i depositi minerali si sono stratificati nel corso degli anni fino a formare quella che oggi è una formazione a cascata su cui non è scivoloso camminare. C'è così tanta presa sulle rocce che puoi facilmente risalire le cascate. Questa cascata è davvero unica e un luogo popolare per rilassarsi.
Facciamo anche una sosta al mercato di Chedi Mae Krua. Questo mercato non è assolutamente un'attrazione turistica, ma un vero e proprio mercato locale autentico. Una sosta interessante per i turisti per vedere la vita quotidiana semplice delle persone in questa zona. Fai una passeggiata al mercato e fatti un'idea della vita tailandese fuori città. Quindi è il momento di tornare a Chiang Mai dove ti lasceremo al punto di incontro o al tuo hotel. La durata totale include il tempo di viaggio dal mercato di Chedi Mae Krua a Chiang Mai.

Small group, very friendly and knowledgeable guide, very pleasant experience. Beyond the obvious highlight of climbing the sticky waterfall (Bua Tong), I also loved the calm and relaxing boat trip as well as seeing a local fruit market.

This tour is so much fun and what really makes this tour amazing is because we had the best tour guide of Thailand. Saman is so wonderful, thoughtful, polite and respectful of our time and space. The sticky waterfalls is our favorite thing to do and we wish we had gone to the very bottom of the falls before we walked up. The hike up was very easy and super fun.

Brilliant day. 4 or 5 stops during the course of the day. Our tour Guide Tik was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help with anything we needed. Highlights of the day was the boat ride on the Dam, Followed by the sticky waterfall.

Amazing day trip - food market, temples, boat trip and sticky waterfall First stop seeing all the fresh food. Next we stopped at the most amazing temples we have seen. Our guide, Tik, was brilliant with his details of the temples and the history behind varied Buddha’s. Next to Srilanna Dam where we took a boat up the river to see the floating hotel and other accommodation. Amazing beauty all around. Finally the Sticky Waterfalls where you walk/climb using ropes. Not for the faint hearted, but we all really enjoyed it (age range 56-64) A fantastic day and worth the money, but mostly it was made so good by Tik.

This was supposed to be a group tour, but we were the only guests, so we effectively had a private one. Our tour guide was very informative and keen on answering our questions. We had fun at the waterfall, visited a local market where we were the only tourists and had a good time at the blue temple and during the boat tour.

Excellent trip out for the day, transport was brilliant in an very clean & tidy mini bus. Saman (our guide) was very friendly & knowledgeable & took time to explain local customs and there way of life, done in a factual hands on personal way. A trip to local market turned out to be surprisingly informative with various ingredients sampled, the visit to the temple complex was relaxed with plenty of time to admire the site, all the time being politely informed of what the culture meant to the local area. Then onto the boat with some scenic views around the reservoir, followed by lunch,(the happy room had a brilliant view), before arriving at the waterfall. Once again Saman was full of information which added to the experience, and many thanks for assisting the other half up the waterfall & giving us both an experience neither of us will forget. Very good day out made memorable & personal by our guide . Thanks again.
