St Lucia Food & Rum Tasting - Rodney Bay Edition

The food tour was amazing! Great food, great rum and very informative about the beautiful island of St. Lucia by Jasmine. Our driver to the tour also took his time to give us a wonderful view/tour and history of the island. Stephen went out of his way to make sure we had a great time on the drive to and from the food tour. He even made a pit stop so we could get some souvenirs.

Jasmine was a wonderful tour guide and was a local celebrity. She took us to a variety of places and all of the food we tried was delicious. We even lucked out and had a private tour. Highly recommend this tour!

As foodies and accomplished travelers to over 32 countries, my friends and I had the privilege of experiencing one of the best food tours. If you want to experience the best of Lucian food and culture this tour is for you. Our Lucian cultural culinary experience began with the warm, friendly and delightful Steven our host picking us up from our resort. We were then taken on a short driving tour on our way to Rodney Bay making a stop to the beautiful Pigeon Island. Our knowledgeable host, Steven proudly shared the history and culture of St Lucia, which added to the authenticity of the experience. Thank you Steven for being an amazing host. We were then dropped off in the heart of Rodney Bay where we met our amazing food tour guide Silma from Lucian Food Tours. We were taken on a culinary/cultural journey with tastings at 5 amazing stops that are without a doubt uniquely Lucian. Silma, our guide a Lucian history buff, amazingly narrated what felt like us reliving a Lucian documentary in real time. She tested our Lucian knowledge, which if answered correctly, guaranteed us extra Lucian treats lol. The food was amazing and so was the rum, which cannot be found ANYWHERE else in the world and was made by the owner of Lucian Food Tours. At the conclusion of the food tour, I can truly say that we were sad to end our experience. It was that good. Our gracious host, Steven picked us up for the return trip to our resort and stopped to get one of my friends a coconut that she’d been talking about enjoying since the beginning of our vacation. We have already booked our return trip to St Lucia next year and you can bet that we will be booking a repeat food tour with Steven, Silma and Lucian Food Tours.

I really enjoyed this walking tour! Our tour guide Desi was very kind & informative. She answered all of our questions & allowed us plenty of time to enjoy all of the tasty food. We booked a walking food tour of Rodney Bay and the service and communication, firstly was excellent. Steven picked us up from our hotel and drove us pointing out cool things along the way and the tour itself was amazing. Proper local food with Jasmine who was also brilliant - 10/10 would definitely recommend!

The food was delicious, the rum was too good. We still have a taste of it in our mouths. Jasmine our guide was lovely and she knew alot of the history about Saint Lucia. She even told us her daddies island hopping story. We saw a lot of similarities between our Surinamese culture and yours.. Thank you for this great experience and top tier organisation.

It was great! We had a great time and really enjoyed all the information and the different foods and fruits, especially the spiced rum Jasmine’s grandmother made. Jasmine is very sweet and nice, and knowledgeable! We would definitely recommend!

Steven was our driver twice during the week before hurricane Beryl struck. We booked a food and rum tasting tour online well in advance and shortly after he reached out via text. I'll admit I didn't quite understand why until we were on the island. My assumption was Steven was an independent taxi driver, but it's much more than that. Sure, he'll take you from A to B if you wish, but also will remain with you as you choose other destinations. He essentially becomes your private driver. This dude is super chill, personable, and engaging. He was always on time, full of helpful suggestions, and accommodating of our requests. Our first trip inspired us to call on him again later in the week where his local knowledge proved quite useful for our shopping needs. Let me sum it up this way: Had I better understood why Steven reached out 8 weeks prior to our arrival, and had I known his character in advance, I'd have used his services exclusively on Saint Lucia. If you're wondering how to get around the island, have zero hesitation calling on Steven.
