In questo luogo, potrai goderti torte calde e tè al cocco al "Kaye Savann". Un modo perfetto per iniziare la giornata con una colazione nutriente e leggera! La fresca brezza e i panorami mozzafiato ti manterranno rilassato con un buon inizio.
Vivi la vista aerea mozzafiato della capitale! Avrai l'opportunità di scattare splendide foto della città dalla cima della montagna a Morn Fortune. Proprio nello stesso luogo, riceverai una foto alla residenza ufficiale del Governatore Generale di Santa Lucia.
In questo punto di sosta potrete visitare il Glamity's Bar o l'Antilla's Brewery. Il Glamity's Bar è disponibile solo il sabato, quando la distilleria è chiusa, dove assaggerete cibi come il maiale alla griglia in stile isolano o il sanguinaccio con contorni locali e bevande dell'isola. Il giovedì, il micro birrificio di Antilla consente ai visitatori di sperimentare come producono bevande uniche.
Marigot Bay è un punto di riferimento storico, essendo stato il sito di una serie di battaglie tra le marine francesi e britanniche. La parte interna della baia forma un buco di uragano, usato per riparare le barche dagli uragani. La baia fu usata come ambientazione per l'adattamento cinematografico del 1967 dei libri di Dolittle di Hugh Lofting. Le scene del naufragio, la grande chiocciola del Mar Rosa e la costruzione dell'imbracatura per la falena lunare gigante sono state girate nella baia.
Assaggia le banane appena raccolte nella piantagione di banane a Roseau e visita i St. Lucia Distillers per la degustazione di rum/Distillery Brewery Tour. Le nostre guide ti istruiranno su come vengono coltivate le banane, la storia della piantagione e impareranno di più sulla nostra produzione di rum. Faremmo quindi una sosta alla Rum Distillery dove potremo assaggiare almeno 22 rum St. Lucian unici. Lì avresti una buona comprensione di ciò che produciamo da portare a casa.
Il nome Anse la Raye deriva dai raggi che si trovano nella baia, la traduzione inglese significa Bay of Rays. Due fiumi sfociano nella baia, la Grande Rivière de l'Anse la Raye e la Petite Rivière de l'Anse la Raye. Il venerdì sera c'è una frittura di pesce dove i pescatori locali mostrano le loro abilità. Avrai la possibilità di assaggiare le frittelle di pesce o il maiale in umido con un assortimento di rum alle spezie fatti in casa (di solito chiamato Viagra locale). Abbiamo scoperto i segreti più importanti presso l'Horizon Bar, dove frutta ed erbe aromatiche vengono lasciate fermentare in alcool per un determinato periodo di tempo con conseguente aromi arricchiti e distintivi.
Prepara le tue telecamere per le viste panoramiche dagli approcci nord e sud di "Kanawe" (nome creolo francese). Il nome Kanawe deriva dalla parola amerindia per cucinare pentole, in passato le Canarie avevano una grande piantagione di zucchero che correva nell'entroterra fino alla valle che si estende in senso stretto dal villaggio. Per 15 - 20 minuti assaggerete il nostro piatto nazionale (fico verde e pesce salato), pane e pesce salato con curry di cocco, Plantain Chips e autentici snack luciani come Tamerine Balls, Guava / Ginger Fudge e Goose Berry Jam presso Del's Cafe Rain Forest. Opzionalmente, potrete visitare Cacoa Sainte Lucie dove il cioccolato biologico è prodotto da un residente locale di nome Maria. Approfittando dei numerosi abiti di cacao di St.Lucia, ha realizzato artigianalmente una serie di diverse barrette di cioccolato. Il metodo utilizzato per produrre questi cioccolatini fa emergere un sapore unico di cui ti innamorerai. Lasciati incantare dai cioccolatini più raffinati delle Canarie! Potrai arrivare a spendere circa 20 minuti in questo punto.
Crogiolati nell'atmosfera dei Pitons (Gros Piton e Petit Piton) che sono due giganteschi tappi vulcanici situati a sud di Soufrière ed è un sito del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Soufriere contiene molte attrazioni squisite come il viaggio attraverso il vulcano chiamato Sulphur Springs, la foresta pluviale, i percorsi naturalistici, le tenute, le spiagge e le famose località come Anse Chastanet e Ladera.
Andiamo quindi a casa di Tony, questo lo consideriamo il momento clou del tour. Per prima cosa dobbiamo attraversare un ruscello/fiume per arrivare alla fattoria di Tony, che per prima cosa ti accoglierà con noci di cocco fresche. Poi possiamo assaggiare alcuni frutti unici della fattoria di Tony (tamarindo, arance dolci, mango, papaya, mele zuccherate, mele golden ecc.) Quindi puoi esplorare la sua fattoria e vedere una serie di alberi da frutto, piante tropicali, erba di limone, fattoria di ananas e giardino di condimento verde. Abbiamo quindi la possibilità di arrostire gli anacardi come attività locale sul fuoco di legna.
Poi possiamo assaggiare i rum più unici durante il viaggio, la gente del posto lo chiama rum speziato, alcuni lo conoscono come chiaro di luna. Questa particolare barretta lascia fermentare frutta e altri alimenti nel rum per 6 mesi a 1 anno. Puoi quindi assaggiare questi fantastici rum con una varietà di sapori fruttati.

Delvin was great. The rum tour and food were both great. We also enjoyed stopping at the farm to try many of the local fruits. Delvin also explained the history and culture of the island while we were driving between the various stops on the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

Delvin our guide was amazing!! He was very kind and easy going, knowledgeable of the island and ensured everyone was comfortable during the tour. The lunch provided at his mom’s house was a highlight of our trip and one of our best meals on the island! We got to try a diverse palate of Lucian food, all of which was delicious! The cost is defiantly worth it for the full day experience! Highly recommend our guide and this tour if you’re wanting an authentic experience! 10/10!!

Best tour of the holiday by far. Don't let the price hold you back: it is totally worth it. Chris picked us up at 8am to drive for over an hour to the first stop up north, then we gradually made our way back south to our resort. On the way up north Chris explained a lot about the island, its history and the culture. Every stop was great: local breakfast was at a place tourists can't find (and it was super tasty), the rum distillery tour and tasting was awesome. Chris was very patient when we tasted up to 20 rums before deciding which one to buy. Think that was it? Oh no, then it was off to an infused rum tasting, done by locals. Just a stand next to the road, rum in what seemed like plastic bottles. Sounds bad? He'll no, the flavors were awesome. The people super friendly and very keen in telling you all about their products. Rum infused with fruits you've never heard of, a variety of nuts, plants, but especially: coffee and cocoa. Oh boy this was good. "Take your time, ready when you are: Chris said patiently. Did I mention already he's also a very skilled driver? Also, as I am a beer enthusiast, I asked if it was possible to include the local brewery. Now this was a quest even for him but the man got it figured out after making some phone calls throughout the day and eventually we got the directions. After the lunch stop at a house of a local (we literally just sat in their garden, not a restaurant or anything, just at people's home) where we had a wonderful meal (and we were stuffed) it was straight over to Tony's farm. Tony is a farmer, possibly in his late 60s I'd say, but he showed his skills. Immediately after us arriving he started whacking a coconut with his machete which we could then drink out of and after that eat the gelly (at first glance I was like 'really?' but it tastes good, trust me). Then the comparison with a dried one. Very interesting! Then all kinds of local fruit and to top it off a crash course in how to roast cashew nuts (apparently without roasting the oil in the nuts is toxic!) harvested fresh from the plant. Finally our last stop was the one we asked for specifically so they added this especially for us: the craft brewery, exceptionally well hidden in the hills (even Chris had to inquire and that says something) where we could try 3 of their craft beers and had a great chat with Martin and one of the brewers (slapping myself for not remembering the guys name). This was our final stop. We had a blast. Chris was the perfect guide: friendly, knowledgeable, patient and funny. If you love to try new things and local food this tour is absolutely worth it. A great tour if you are interested in learning more about the island culture and its food history. Take you beyond the typical tourist sites where you taste the local foods, homemade rums, roast cashews and drink coconut water from coconuts straight from the trees!

This was the best tour we did while in St Lucia! We had the most authentic St Lucian food - from a traditional breakfast to a range of different fruits (half I've never had before) and finally the most delicious salted fish curry I've ever had courtesy of Delvin's mum - hands down the best meal we had! Authentic and fresh rum punch (again one of the best I've had!). We also had a great rum tour (seeing the process in a working distillery) with the opportunity to taste 22 different rums! Delvin also gave us loads of information/ interesting facts about the island which was great to hear. Great communication with Delvin about changing the date and moving the pick up time back. Overall, I'd highly recommend this tour as a must do if you want to experience real St Lucian/Creole food!

We did the food and rum tour with Delvin and cannot recommend it highly enough!! He is a font of knowledge about St Lucia’s history, culture, and of course, food scene. It was a nice blend of conversation while also having time to enjoy some experiences alone. The St. Lucian breakfast was delicious with an amazing view; the rum distillery tour was awesome; tasting fresh tropical fruits at Tony’s farm was lovely, and it was amazing to enjoy a home-cooked lunch at his mom’s house—such a personal way to get a peek into the wonderful island culture of St. Lucia! Be careful with the final rum tasting at Horizon, because while delicious, those samples pack a punch! (But that didn’t stop us from bringing 3 unique bottles home!) 😁

Great tour, a definite must for anyone wanting to try authentic stuff lucian food!! Delvin was a great host/guide and even stopped to get my cousin a red bull. We had breakfast (bakes) + 2 rum stops + sauce tasting (try banana ketchup) + fruit tasting at Tony's farm (cocoa, sugarcane, soursop, mangos & more) + lunch (so good I had 2 servings)

Delvin is a lovely guy and taught us a lot about the culture of St.Lucia. The Rum distillery was great and the different foods we got to try were very interesting and different from anything we have ever had before.
