Tour gastronomico di Terranova di 3 ore a St. John

Descrizione

One of the best experiences in our 2 week trip to Newfoundland. Mckenzie our tour gymuide was exceptional. We learned so much about the history. Went out and got ourselves a pineapple crush! The food was amazing...we ticked off multiplebucket liste dishes and restaurants at one time. Highly recommend
Thanks so much for this brilliant review and for taking a walk with us while you were in St. John's.
Wonderful tastes of local Newfoundland foods seasoned with culture, history & fun. Cod is king! Guide McKenzie did a great job introducing us to moose, salt fish cakes with mustard pickles, fish & chips with dressing & gravy, flakeys, toutons with molasses, & partridge berry ice cream. Fun!
"Cod is king" - truer words were never spoken. Sounds like a delicious and fun afternoon. Thanks for sharing!
There are excursions that are nice. And then there are excursions that you still think about when everyday life has long since returned. Our food tour through St. John's undoubtedly belongs to the second category. That was in large part due to McKenzie, our tour guide. You could tell in every minute that she knows and loves her city – and she shared both with a warmth that was contagious. The food was cleverly selected, of the best quality from the first to the last sample. But honestly, it wasn't just the palate that got its money's worth. Because McKenzie told stories. Little stories about corners and houses, about people and habits, and suddenly you didn't just taste the food, but also understood a little bit about where you were actually a guest. This is how a tasting turned into a real afternoon – with charm, with knowledge, and with that unobtrusive friendliness that you cannot learn. We would go along again anytime. And anyone who comes to St. John's should treat themselves to this tour: not just because of the food, but because of the stories that go with it 🍀🍀🍀
This food tour is a must! Mackenzie was an awesome tour guide. We have family from Newfoundland but we still learned so much about the history including the coca cola boycott. Every stop had awesome food and we ticked off some bucket list places and dishes all at once. With so many things to do while visiting, this should top the list!
Even with family from Newfoundland there's still so much to discover. Thanks for taking a walk with us and for the lovely review.
Ian led an excellent beer tour in St. John's. He provided a great deal of interesting information about the history of beer in Newfoundland. And we sampled quite a few different brews at several locations. Highly recommend!
History, hops and plenty of sampling, sounds like Ian covered all the bases! Glad you had such a great time and thanks for the recommendation!
This walking tour provided a number of interesting facts and we explored downtown St. John’s. Melissa was a lovely guide who spoke at a good pace and ensured that all of us could hear. The locations we visited were all very different and we enjoyed each bite. We definitely didn’t need dinner after all the food we tasted. Each venue was ready for us and the food was served quickly on our arrival. There were a number of staircases as part of the tour which could be difficult for some. Melissa waited patiently as some took longer than others to get to the next spot. Use Google Maps to find the meet up spot as the buildings don’t have a good numbering system (actually very few buildings have numbers at all).
Sounds like Melissa nailed it! Thanks for such a thoughtful and detailed review.
Come hungry. Great portions and an even greater learning experience through our awesome guide. McKenzie was the best! Even sang the old Newfoundland anthem at our request.
McKenzie really does go above and beyond! Come hungry is always the right advice. Thanks for this brilliant review!
Mackenzie was a delight! She was very knowledgable about many of the Newfoundland traditions, foods, history and was exceptional dealing with all our questions. It would not have been the same without her.
The highlight of an entire trip - now that's something! Thanks for this lovely review. We'll be sure she sees it.
Our tour guide McKenzie did an amazing job. Very well versed.
