Great experience as my first time driving in Baja

1) Be prepared for a terrible “complimentary” transfer situation. Ours was 30 minutes late and there were so many stops at all the resorts to pick people up. What should have been a 40 minute drive turned in to a 2 hour tour itself. 2) Prepare for a thirty minute check in process where they will attempt to upsell you on everything, vehicle upgrade, length upgrade, medical insurance, vehicle insurance 3) Expect at least an hour wait after the check in process, grossly understaffed facility. 4) You pay your money for X length of trip, but expect whatever you book will be cut down by 25% with no explanation. E.g. the 2 hours you bought? Expect a 1.5 hour tour, 4 hours paid for = 3 hour tour. Etc. Etc. 5) After the trip, the guide will essentially beg you for tip money. “Most of my money only comes from tips and I have a family…” blah blah blah 6) After your tour gets cut short, your guide will literally stand right next to you and watch everything you write while you fill out the survey. 7) The “complimentary” tequila tasting is yet another upsell opportunity. Base $70/bottle for sub standard tequila bottles. Other thoughts If you decide to book with these people, understand that everything at every corner is trying to squeeze another dollar out of you. $5 for a single can of coke for example. lol, what? But, they have you captive so good luck. Return transfer was equally bad. Our “two hour tour” took 7 hours start to finish because of the waiting, understaffed facility, and joke of a transfer situation.

My experience was amazing our guide Ceasar was a cool guy he helped us out got us in our ride and was a good guide throughout the ride and was nice I would recommend coming here and would do again.

Our experience with Bruno at Cactus Tours was incredible. We originally arrived as part of a larger group for the side-by-side tour, but because of the timing, Bruno was able to take just my girlfriend and me on a private tour. That alone made the experience feel special from the start. This was actually my fifth time coming to Cactus Tours since my family and I have been visiting for years whenever we vacation here, but it was my first time bringing my girlfriend. Out of all the times I’ve been here, this was easily the best experience I’ve had. Bruno upgraded us to a nicer buggy, and we had an absolute blast flying through the dunes and driving down by the ocean. He made the entire ride exciting, fun, and unforgettable. The experience Bruno gave us honestly felt once in a lifetime, and it reminded me why my family continues to come back to Cactus Tours year after year. If you’re planning to book a tour here, I would 100% recommend asking for Bruno as your guide. He made the trip truly one of a kind and gave us memories we’ll never forget.

I feel like we got scammed. When we got there, everything was an upgrade. We paid $960 for 4 of us and when we got there. They said that was for one 4 seater and it would be $300 additional if we wanted 2 two seaters. They ended up giving us 2 cars but not until I complained. They wanted an additional $150 for a “private tour” which was just the 4 of us. The advertisement says it a 3 hr tour, The desk said 2 hrs, the guide said 1 hr and 45 minutes, and you are in the car for less then an hr. The 1:45 included so many stops. Beach, gift shop for bathroom break even though we told him nobody had to go, cliff stop for photos with their photographer, 2nd beach stop. After the ride, tequila tasting was limited to 3 tastings. Photos that they took, we were unable to get anyone to help us see them but then we saw the price ($220 usd) so we stopped trying to see them. Only thing that made it 2 stars was our guide Daniel. He was great.
