La giornata inizia con un briefing in ufficio prima di dirigersi al villaggio essere accolti dagli artigiani e recarsi a casa di famiglia dell'artigiano che è il tuo ospite per la giornata. Al mattino andrai a prendere l'acqua o aiuterai con la preparazione del cibo. Poi si tratta di apprendere le tecniche di costruzione rurale, compresa la produzione di corde da banani e mattoni di fango. Gli artigiani ti mostreranno come svolgere l'attività e lavoreranno al tuo fianco. Poi hai il pranzo (piatti tipici ruandesi, ad esempio manioca e fagioli). Questo è un buon momento per chiedere ai tuoi ospiti della vita nella loro comunità. Potrebbero anche avere domande per te sulla vita nel tuo paese d'origine. Nel pomeriggio potrete utilizzare le tecniche tradizionali apprese al mattino per costruire l'ombra degli animali domestici, un recinto o una casa. Quindi torna in ufficio per una bibita fresca e avrai l'opportunità di acquistare regali e souvenir. I took my boys (6 and 8) on the traditional construction experience day. Making bricks and laying some, which had been prepared earlier, was the highlight of their introductory trip to Africa. One of my boys slipped and scraped his knee playing football with the local kids, and the Azizi representatives quickly pulled out a full first aid kit and were clearly well trained in using it. Very impressive. Lunch was very tasty too! This is not just a kids activity, though. The adults in our group all benefited and greatly enjoyed; it is very much an activity for adults without children too!

Overall wonderful experience. Super responsive and willing to tailor the content since we were the only two on the tour. Thoughtful answers to all our many questions. Our guide was wonderful about taking pictures for use. The cost does not include transport but Azizi was able to arrange that as well .
We had a really great experience with the "host family". We got there early in the morning, started preparing lunch together, went to fetch water, played with the children, made mud bricks, built the start of a rabbit house, had lunch, danced and had a really good time. The women in the cooperative were so welcoming and open and very curious about our life back home. The translator was really helpful and we were so grateful that he just translated what was said and not interpreting or giving us direct answer. It all felt very authentic and fun! Would recommend it to all my friends!
