Scopri il processo di preparazione del tè a Bois Chéri, la prima piantagione di tè di Mauritius, fondata nel 1892. Visiterete la piantagione, la fabbrica, il museo e imparerete il processo di produzione del tè dalla raccolta e fermentazione all'essiccamento, setacciatura e confezionamento e la storia di tè a Mauritius. Dopo la visita guidata, è possibile gustare le deliziose varietà di tè sulla terrazza del suo vecchio chalet e ammirare un cratere vulcanico ora trasformato in un piccolo lago, circondato da una vegetazione lussureggiante.
Passeggia per La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes e i suoi 3,5 ettari di vegetazione lussureggiante. Scopri le sue bellissime palme e banani, i bambù giganti, i suoi impressionanti animali, tra cui 2.000 coccodrilli del Nilo e 1.000 tartarughe giganti. Visiterai anche il loro insettario che vanta una delle migliori collezioni private al mondo con 23.000 specie.
Ammira il paesaggio aspro di grandi e potenti onde che si infrangono sulle scogliere di Gris Gris. A pochi metri, vedrete La Roche qui pleure, una formazione rocciosa naturale che ricorda una persona che piange quando le onde lo colpiscono.

Comfortable car, great for family. The nature park was the highlight. We couldn’t go to the tea museum because they were understaffed and running oddly timed tours. The look out at Gris Gris and la roche de la pleur was beautiful. Nice half day trip with young kids. SAN - our driver was polite and was full of information about Mauritius. Overall was worth the tour

Beautiful day trip with meals included. We had several stops where we could see the lives of Mauritians. The tea factory is located high up, inside an exceptional park ... I recommend this excursion!

We really enjoyed the Tea factory but of course the most memorable moments were at the Nature Park with the giant tortoises.

Made the tour from the north, so it involved a lot of driving. My driver Satya was great. The tea factory only works on Wednesdays in winter, but you could visit it. The property (tasting) was nice but from the factory only about 1 km long very bad road (felt off-road) to reach. The southernmost part (Gris Gris and La Roche qui pleure) were also nice to look at. The vanilla zoo had many turtles that could also be fed and cricodiles as well as other animals , but was also not fantastic. Overall good!

I stayed at a hotel in the north and booked to do the South Tour. As I stayed in the north there was a lot of driving. I really enjoyed the trip and was great to experience Mauritius. The water falls were amazing. You had to pay to see 7 sands which was interesting.

The "guide" didn't speak if you didn't ask him, he stopped at La roche qui Pleure, well, on a road and told us.... "over there you see it" and he sent us riding across to the cliff, we weren't told that on Fridays the Tea factory doesn't work, so we just went to try it... the rest of the excursions we did with a taxi hired in the hotel, much cheaper and infinitely better, they told us everything we were seeing, they told us a lot of curiosities and data of the island, they stopped where you asked them, recommended places and itineraries, we even repeated chauffeur of how well we liked... I wouldn't recommend hiring this excursion
