Bagno e pausa cena (a proprie spese)

The tour was great but what really made the tour was the small group and the outstanding tour guide Alain.
Unfortunately, we missed our tour because the station guide gave us the wrong information. She pointed us to a bus headed for the airport instead of our tour. We were so looking forward to seeing the diamond beach. We were prepared for the long day and it was incredibly disappointing to miss this opportunity because the attendant wasn’t paying attention.
Dear Jennifer, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are very sorry to hear that you missed your tour and understand how disappointing this must have been, especially as you were looking forward to visiting the Diamond Beach and had prepared for the long journey. We are also concerned to hear that you were directed to an airport bus instead of your tour departure. We would like to look into what happened and clarify the circumstances with the relevant team. We kindly ask you to contact our Customer Service team directly with your booking reference, travel date, and the name used for the reservation, so we can investigate the situation further. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this experience caused. Best regards, Rute
Magnificent experience!!! Spectacular waterfalls, imposing glaciers, the beautiful Glacier Lagoon with its icebergs, and the evocative Diamond Beach. Even the bus trip, although long, was not at all tiring because outside the window it was a succession of volcanic plains, waterfalls, glaciers, rocky walls, etc. Our guide was very skilled and friendly.
Dear Salvo, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a magnificent experience exploring Iceland’s South Coast. It’s fantastic to know that the spectacular waterfalls, impressive glaciers, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and the breathtaking Diamond Beach made such a lasting impression. We’re also pleased that the journey itself was part of the adventure, with Iceland’s ever-changing landscapes making the drive so enjoyable. A special thank you for your kind words about your guide. We’ll be sure to share your compliments with the team. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in Iceland. Warm regards, Patricia, Customer Service, Reykjavik Excursions by Icelandia
This is a loooong bus ride, with 10 of the 14 hours in a small coach bus. The Diamond Beach and Glacier lagoon were awesome and made the ride worthwhile. There’s an optional boat tour of the lagoon that was not offered thru Viator, but the driver was able to get tickets in advance while in the bus, I would definitely recommend.
Dear Jami, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We also appreciate your comments regarding the length of the bus journey and the optional boat tour. It is great to hear that our driver was able to assist you with arranging tickets and that you would recommend the experience to other travellers. Thank you again for travelling with us and for sharing your helpful feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Iceland in the future! Best regards, Rute
The Glacier Lagoon is stunning. On the way there and back we visited a couple of stunning waterfalls. Our guide Lasma was so knowledgeable. It is a long day but you see so much of Icelands stunning countryside.

Long but fantastic tour! Wonderful scenery! Mikki was great! He made sure we had frequent restroom stops. The tour departed on time and the first pickup was smooth!

It’s great that Mikki helped make the long day more comfortable by ensuring regular restroom stops, and that the pickup and departure went smoothly from the start. We truly appreciate your words and hope to see you again in Iceland! Kind regards, Zuzanna
I had taken this tour three days prior, it was absolutely amazing! When I received the email confirmation, it explained for a 730 excursion. Waiting for the tour bus from 719 until 815 I called. They explained to me the excursion started at 7:30, but they stopped by to pick me up at 7 AM. I have been downstairs having breakfast and missed the bus! Truly a disappointment!! The main goal for this trip was to see the diamond Beach, that was the main part of this excursion. Thankfully, I had taken a previous excursion to win the diamond beach, but the weather was a little crappy. This day, the weather was beautiful, and I’m sure they had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, I missed out! I’m not pointing fingers, but I wish it would’ve been clearer on the email they sent to be in the lobby at seven and not 730. If you booked this trip, make sure you know what time they’re going to pick you up.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re very sorry to hear that you missed your excursion, especially as Diamond Beach was a key highlight you were looking forward to. We completely understand how disappointing that must have been, particularly with such good weather on the day. We regret the confusion regarding the pickup time. Clear timing information is essential, and we understand how important it is that guests know exactly when they need to be ready in front of their hotel. Your feedback highlights something we take seriously, and we will make sure it is shared with the relevant teams. We’re glad to hear you were at least able to visit Diamond Beach on a previous trip, but we’re truly sorry you missed the chance to experience it again under better conditions on this occasion. Thank you again for your honest comments. They are very valuable to us. Best regards, Zuzanna
Be aware of tour start time. My ticket from Viator stated tour starts at 8:00 am and be at pickup location at 7:30 am. We arrived at 7:25 am and waited for 50 minutes with several other tour buses coming and going. I called the actual tour company to inquire about our tour only to find out that it actually started at 7:30 am and we should have been at the pickup location at 7:00 am. The bus left without us. I sent requested screenshots of the Viator ticket to the tour company so they can address it with Viator. I requested a refund from Viator explaining what happened. Viator did refund the entire amount within a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the tour itself. This was our last day and we were unable to book for another day. This was NO fault of the tour company.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re very sorry that this situation caused you to miss your tour, especially on your last day in Iceland, when there was no opportunity to rebook. We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating that must have been. We’re glad to hear that Viator was able to process your refund promptly. We appreciate you highlighting this, as feedback like yours is important in helping improve communication between booking platforms and our company. We’re truly sorry you were unable to experience the tour itself, and we hope that if you return to Iceland in the future, we’ll have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances. Best regards, Zuzanna
We had two of the most experienced and wonderful people to take care of us. Chris our guide was great, keeping us informed and making sure we were doing great! Robert , our driver took us safely for 14 hours through some of the most challenging wind storms I’ve ever been through!! Bravo!! Great tour
Dear Traveler, Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re thrilled to hear that Chris and Robert took such great care of you and made your experience both informative and safe, even in challenging weather conditions. Your kind words and appreciation mean a great deal to us. Best Regards, Gabriele
It is a thankful tour by the Chief who has gone over 800km. This tour takes at least eight hours away, so if you have a dry photo during the bus ride, it should be taken immediately. It's a great view because it doesn't stop. This part is so bad. It's unfortunate to understand a hundred times because of the tour time. Toilets and meals, rather often stop for shopping. Don't even ignore the money you need to spend at least to sit in the restaurant. The tour guide (Gunnar) is very knowledgeable and explains a lot on the bus, so the journey will be boring because it's long on the bus, but sometimes it seems boring for others. In other comments I saw a lot that we were going to see Aurora for the last time, but we didn't hear about Aurora, and there was no stop on the way home. As a result felt like a journey to the Diamond Beach. Of course, the nature of Iceland is indescribably beautiful. But it feels like it's just the price of oil and the cost of driving. If I had a glacier hiking tour I would also like to.
Thank you for your honest feedback. We understand the long distance makes this a demanding tour, and we’re sorry some aspects felt disappointing. We truly value your feedback and will take your comments into consideration. We also appreciate your kind words about the driver and Gunnar. Best regards, Magdalena
