un edificio storico del XIV secolo (costruito tra il 1319 e il 1344) in via San Cesareo, ultima sede nobiliare rimasta in Campania. The sorrento food tour was perfect for my family. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it was an easy walk thru the town. Food, wine, lemon cello and sweets at the end. I highly recommend this tour, gives u a nice base for your visit to sorrento
There were 5 of us on the tour. My group of 3 and a married couple. Our “Tour Guide” Tamara was seemingly under the influence of something. That or she was tired beyond normal standards. She became the focus of the tour. She was not incredibly informative. Her words trailed off. She was snarky at times. I was greatly disappointed in this tour and the money we spent. She, at one point, got a text from a person she knew with an injury and proceeded to show everyone the bloody picture of the injury. The whole thing was just odd. The 5 of us spent the whole time commenting on her behavior. We all commented that we really just wanted to leave the tour halfway thru. The whole lemon grove and limoncello part of the tour was a joke. Then we walked around the shopping areas and she told us to stop in to shops and tell them to give us the “Tamara Discount”. Her words were slurred half the time and she was barely audible. Her sentences trailed off mid stream. It was unreal. I should have demanded my money back.
We LOVED our food tour of Sorrento. Tamara is so knowledgeable and has a great repertoire with the locals who truly represent quintessential Sorrento. It was a great introduction to the area. We loved Tamara’s tours so much we booked a whole week of them!
Tamara's knowledge and personality make this food tour around Sorrento unique and must do! Me and my family had great time and lots of fun!
The tour guide (which was actually the owner of Sorrento walking food tours) was very rude and short with us the entire trip. I would not do this one again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Ciao Nancy, We're genuinely surprised by this review, as it is completely inconsistent with both our interaction that day and the feedback from the rest of the group- the 12 others having a blast! You and your husband -walking issue- chose to leave the tour early to go shopping and did not stay for the full experience. Before leaving, you told me personally that you were had a great time and enjoyed the tour, and husband left a tip. For that reason, your comments here are difficult to reconcile with what you expressed directly to me. The other guests who completed the tour had a wonderful experience, and several shared very positive feedback afterward. While we respect that not every experience resonates with every traveler, we also believe reviews should accurately reflect what actually took place. We wish you the best and hope you enjoyed the remainder of your stay in Sorrento. Tamara!
Tamara was an amazing guide! She clearly had a great rapport with all the shoppers and restaurant owners which made the experience extra intimate and enjoyable! Her great community standing can also score you some discounts at said shops - don’t forget to ask! The food was DELICIOUS and I never felt too full for the next bite. Highly recommend
