Nuotare con i leoni marini è un’attività incredibile che ci sorprende ogni giorno e sorprenderà anche te. Questa attività viene svolta da Puerto Madryn, il luogo con la maggior quantità di animali marini. I sigilli sono super amichevoli e amano interagire con le persone. La nostra preoccupazione principale è sempre la cura per l'animale e l'ambiente, quindi le nostre barche hanno tutte le misure necessarie per la cura dell'ambiente. Questa attività è ideale per i crocieristi in quanto i tempi si adattano perfettamente, il che consente loro di avere anche il tempo di visitare la città. CONDIZIONI: È condizione esclusiva che la persona sia in buona salute (respiratoria, cardiovascolare, lesioni alle orecchie) , buona mobilità e condizione fisica per fare esercizio fisico moderato per 45 min. The tour operator was very good with communications about where to be and what to bring. The crew was very helpful in getting us ready for the excursion. Was a great experience. Our only comment is that even though it was mating season and there were not a lot of sea lions in the water, when there were there were enough people in the water that would start swimming over to the sea lion to get pictures and scare them away rather than staying still. That wasn't the tour operators' fault but made getting closer to sea lions tougher. Was glad tour took pictures when we were in the water so we have those memories. Would do it again!
We were the last group allowed into the water and, paradoxically, the first asked to return to the boat. I had explicitly warned the guides about mask leakage due to my beard, but the masks provided were unsuitable and leaked constantly, forcing me to spend the entire time clearing water instead of enjoying the experience. I carefully maintained the required distance from the sea lions, following the underwater topography, while the guides themselves often got closer to the shore, taking photos, and another nearby tourist group was significantly nearer without issue. Throughout the excursion, the guides repeatedly shouted vague “come back” commands, which created confusion and made it nearly impossible to enjoy any interaction with the animals. When I asked why we were asked to return first, one guide bluntly said “because you misbehaved,” which was completely unjustified. I did everything possible to respect the rules, avoid collisions with other participants, and cope with an unfamiliar wetsuit, yet we were arbitrarily singled out and effectively punished. The constant shouting, unclear instructions, and unfair treatment ruined what should have been a highlight of the trip. I would strongly recommend future travelers consider these issues before booking, and I believe a 50% refund would be entirely justified given the poor experience and distress caused.
Good morning, I understand the discomfort you have expressed; however, we clearly recall the excursion that took place on December 23rd, 2025. Regarding the use of masks, I believe it is important to clarify—something that you have not mentioned—that you brought your own masks, and they were the ones that did not function properly. As a result, the guide in charge had to return to the boat to retrieve alternative equipment in order to solve the issue caused by your personal masks. In this case, there was no opportunity for you to try the masks beforehand. Additionally, it is common for water to enter the mask and for it not to seal properly for individuals with beards. With respect to the reserve’s regulations, these rules are in place to be followed, and our guides strictly comply with them. If guides or tourists from other agencies do not respect these regulations, that is not our responsibility. On the contrary, we strongly believe it is essential to respect the animals in their natural habitat; therefore, maintaining proper distance and appropriate human behavior is fundamental. For this reason, if the required distance was not being respected by you, it was entirely appropriate for our guides to call your attention and ask you to comply with the established rules. Finally, as clearly stated in the experience description, this activity takes place within a marine reserve, where a management plan is in place establishing limits regarding distance and time of permanence. In addition to this, it is essential to act responsibly in the protection of wildlife and to respect whether the animals choose—or not—to approach and interact. Animals must not be called or fed. This is not a zoo; it is a natural area inhabited by wild animals.We regret that you did not fully understand the delicate nature of this activity. Great experience. They waited for us when our ship arrived late. Wet suits kept us warm in the very cold water. Highly recommend.
An amazing experience, especially for the little ones in the family. A very careful and prepared excursion, both to take care of the tourist and the local fauna. It's worth getting up early to live the experience.
Take part in this activity with my 7 year old twins. I want to highlight what a super experience this excursion was for the 3 of us. At all times the guides took care of the boys both to relax and so that I could enjoy myself without pressure.

It was great! The provided all the equipment and wet suit and were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw lots of sea lions on shore and had three opportunities to interact with them in the water. On time there were three by me at the same time.
