Questo tour di 7 ore inizia con un viaggio a Montpelier, la capitale del Vermont, la capitale dello stato più piccola e meno popolosa della nazione. Lì, ci godremo una visita guidata della Vermont State House*, guidata da una Guida dedicata che condividerà la sua storia e risponderà alle domande. *Le visite guidate nella Vermont State House sono disponibili solo da inizio luglio a ottobre. L'edificio è chiuso per i visitatori il sabato e la domenica. I nostri tour del fine settimana ammireranno quindi la casa statale dall'esterno, quindi esploreranno il centro di Montpelier a piedi. Mentre siamo a Montpelier, visiteremo anche la fattoria a conduzione familiare Morse Maple Sugarworks per una degustazione di sciroppo d'acero. Successivamente guideremo la panoramica VT RT 100 verso i villaggi di Waitsfield e Warren. Le attrazioni più popolari includono un ponte coperto del 1833 ("The Big Eddy") e Appalachian Gap. Il nostro tour inizia con un viaggio a Montpelier, la capitale del Vermont. Con una popolazione di poco meno di 8.000 abitanti, è la capitale dello stato meno popolosa degli Stati Uniti. Lì visiteremo la Vermont State House* con una guida turistica dedicata che ci insegnerà un po' di storia e risponderà a qualsiasi domanda tu possa avere. La Vermont State House è una delle capitali statali più antiche e meglio conservate della nostra nazione. Dopo 140 anni, la State House comanda ancora Montpelier e le camere della Camera e del Senato rimangono le camere legislative più antiche nella loro condizione originale negli Stati Uniti. * La Vermont State House è chiusa ai visitatori il sabato e la domenica. I nostri tour del fine settimana ammireranno quindi la State House dall'esterno, quindi esploreranno a piedi il centro di Montpelier.
Entra in una delle tradizioni di aceri più amate del Vermont al Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, una zuccheriera a conduzione familiare a pochi minuti dal centro di Montpelier. Per generazioni, la famiglia Morse ha lavorato alcuni dei migliori sciroppi d'acero puro del Vermont, utilizzando metodi antichi tramandati attraverso decenni di stagioni di zucchero. La nostra prossima tappa della giornata sarà a Warren village, dove il pranzo sarà disponibile per l'acquisto presso il Warren Store. Wonderful experience. We had a quick tour of Montpelier, including a self-tour of the State Capitol and shopping at some lovely craft and art markets; a very informative maple syrup farm (including a maple syrup tasting and a lovely farm market, and made a few interesting and picturesque stops along the Mad River Valley, and several covered bridges. Natalia is very knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and kind. Her van is spacious, immaculate and comfortable. Leave the driving and directions to her and enjoy the sights!

So glad my husband and I did this tour. Never having been to Vermont as adults, this tour brought us to places we would not have experienced. We enjoyed this beautiful tour. Natalia picked us up at our hotel and her Enthusiastic greeting set the tone for the day. We were off on a seven hour tour with her seeing beautiful, colorful, landscapes, and the famous Vermont covered bridges. Through the quaint towns and villages, she described each point of interest. We were staying in Burlington and she had several restaurant recommendations for us. Visiting Simon Pierce Glass was a highlight. Highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant! We highly recommend Natalia's tour. When we booked, only the Montpelier and Mad River tour was still available. This was for the 2nd Saturday in October, in expectation of leaf colour. On the basis of previous reviews, we booked up. And it was worth every cent! Natalia is welcoming, friendly and a real enthusiast for her adopted homeland of Vermont. After an explanatory drive, we met another couple, from Texas, who were to share the day's experience with us. They were good company, throughout, ready to exchange travel plans. Montpelier, the smallest of State capitals, was a pleasant first stop. Its "gold leaf" State dome reminded the Eurovisitor of the Wawel, in Krakow. The real highlights, though, were of the Covered Bridges for which Vermont is justly famed ... but especially the river views out from within their shaded cover: foliage which was a photographer's delight. There were plenty of stops where we could enjoy a leisurely stroll at our own pace. The terrain for these was flat, and not at all challenging ... for which, we were grateful. One stop was for lunch, where we could sample local produce and a refreshing beer. Another was at the Appalachian Gap, a beauty spot which was good for capturing that memorable photo of the two of us :-) . Natalia, who was never short of information, returned us down Route 100 right to the door of our accommodation ("Route 100", previously just a name, is now full of meaning to us -) ): a full day, and a happy day, but still in good time for our evening meal in Woodstock. We enjoyed the day with Natalia on tour of a National Historic home, lunch and shopping in Woodstock, and waterfall. But my favorite was the glass blowing exhibit. I would book again!

This was a fabulous tour. Natalia was very friendly and informative. We experienced various things on the tour, from beautiful scenery to charming small towns, as well as the historic state house in Montpelier. Natalia has such a great knowledge of Vermont. We so enjoyed our tour. We were her only couple that day, so she was flexible as to how much time to spend in the places we visited. She also gave some great recommendations and tips for things we were wanting to do the rest of the time. The waterfall we saw in Granville was beautiful and the lunch at Warren Store was beyond delicious.
