After breakfast we met Damon and our driver right on time and heading off to see the magnificent Glass Bridges of Qingxin District Gulong Gorge. It certainly paid us to be up early, with Damon zipping ahead to get our tickets, we beat the queues up the stairs, onto the bus and onto the two impressive glass structures that span the gap in front of the Gulong Gorge waterfall and stretch out as a viewing platform over the valley below. Damon gave a good commentary throughout and was happy to take some photos for us. The climb was worth it as all along the path and stairs upwards were dozens of animatronic dinosaurs who roared and twitched and stooped closer as you walked past. Our descent was remarkable too. We climbed onto a two-person sled and took off speeding up to snake and loop and race our way along the rail for a five-minute ride all the way down. What a fantastic way to start the day. Thank you Damon.
