Skaftafell : Escursione sul ghiacciaio Blue Ice Maze sul Vatnajökull

Descrizione

Awesome adventure. This is NOT an easy tour. It’s not difficult but it certainly is not easy. Beautiful views and a really interesting experience. Arctic Adventures had great equipment and was very well organized. Our tour guide, Alex from the Czech, was great. Safety was #1 and teaching us how to properly execute this tricky tour was paramount to her. Just a great experience from start to finish.
The tour was very enjoyable and well organized. Nicole was an excellent guide: she provided all the explanations in Italian, English, and Spanish, making sure that everyone in the group could follow along despite the different nationalities. The only disappointing aspect was the ice maze itself. Unfortunately, due to the temperature, the ice had partially melted and was lower than expected, so it did not look quite like the photos. As a result, it was not exactly what we had imagined beforehand. However, this is obviously dependent on weather conditions and not on the tour organization. Overall, it was still a positive experience.
Hi Silvia, this is lovely to read and thank you for the honest framing. Glad the tour and the guide worked out well overall. Glacier conditions really do shift with the weather from day to day, so the ice can look quite different visit to visit. Thanks again for taking the time to write, we genuinely appreciate the feedback. Arctic Adventures Team
Very nice hike. Our guide was very nice and told us some information about the glacier.
Our guide Martina was very attentive and explained all the procedures to us in great detail and checking that everything was okay.
Hi Marco, thank you for the thoughtful review. Glad the glacier hike was a great one and that the guide looked after the group well. Looking forward to hosting you again. Arctic Adventures Team
A beautiful experience with a very attentive guide who shared very interesting information. It is possible to find discount coupons by searching on the net. Warning: 20-minute walk there and back to get to the glacier. Out of 4 hours, count on 1.5 hours on the glacier.
Hi Julie, thanks for writing this. Glad the Skaftafell hike was such a great one, and that the guide made the day. Your practical notes are useful for future readers. Hope Iceland pulls you back one day! Arctic Adventures Team
We booked the Glacial Wonders tour for our group and had a fantastic time. It was the first time hiking a glacier for most of us and the difficulty level was just fine. The guide gave clear instructions for how to navigate the terrains and equip our gears. The views and the experience were unbeatable!
Hi there, thank you for the kind review! Glad the glacier hike was such a great first-time experience for the group, and that the guide made the terrain feel manageable. Hope you'll be back for more! Arctic Adventures Team
We had a good time even though it rained heavily. Unfortunately the hike through the Crevisse is extremely short since one section broke off and it was not passable. Otherwise good tour and nice guides!
Hi Stefanie, thanks for taking a moment to write this. Glaciers really do move and shift, so route changes when a section becomes impassable are part of how these hikes work. Glad you still had a good time despite the rain, and that the guides made the day. Hope Iceland pulls you back. Arctic Adventures Team
A unique experience this 3-hour walk on the glacier. A timeless moment in a grand setting.
Hi Evelyn, much appreciated. Glad the glacier walk was such a memorable experience and that the guide brought real care to the group. Come back any time. Arctic Adventures Team
Absolutely brilliant experience getting to hike a glacier and actually use the gear (even if at a beginner level). Will definitely do the next level if I come back.
We had a wonderful time with Veronica Yarza Ortega on the Vanatjökull Glacier in Iceland. A fantastic adventure with a cheerful and professional guide. She provided excellent explanations and helped us feel confident for what was, after all, a pretty impressive activity. She was very attentive to the group, reassuring, confident, and made us feel safe. A pleasant memory for four Frenchies—even the sun was out to join us. Thanks so much Veronica Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Hi there, always good to hear this. Feeling safe and confident on a glacier isn't a given, and glad the guide brought that for all four of you. Arctic Adventures Team
